I just ran to the dollar tree. Not to bad, only empty shelf was the tp, and of course what little disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer they carry is out. But the really sad thing is that there were only 2 employees there, the cashier who was at the register and another lady who had just come on shift after being out for a few days. She asked the cashier "Where's OUR hand sanitizer? Are we out?" (refering to the bottles that are always by the registers for the employees) the cashier bent down, pulled it from under the register and told her "we had to hide them because people were taking them! Someone ordered balloons, and Sue went to fill the order, came back the person and sanitizer were gone!"

That's just sad :(

What's sad is that here in the US, gun and ammunition sales are at an all time high since just after 911.....

After today, I start my 2 week staycation. You heard me right. Not vacation, but staycation. I'm not traveling anywhere. I'm staying home until this coronavirus crises is over! I have to paint my entire living room, including hallway and entryway leading to the basement. The next house I buy will have 12 foot ceilings in the living room. No more 18 foot ceilings! I had to bring in an extension ladder.

I have noticed that about American houses. The ceilings are so high and you have living quarters in the basement or attics. We don't have that with the houses here. Some are double storey though but usually quite expensive.

Most of the newer houses where I live have 12 foot ceilings in the living room and 10 foot ceilings in the kitchen, which is perfect for me. The new floor plans (especially on the reverse story and a half floor plans) are more open which makes the house look bigger. :)
