Scripture to prove this?
Well actually that part is more debatable than actual fact. The sky turning dark is often understood as God turning away but the scripture doesn't actually say that in fact recordes show that at that exact moment in time there was a solar eclipse but my point about Jesus being forsaken I stand by

You probably shouldn't believe what you can't prove with scriptuire, but i'll let you believe what you want to believe.

Well you see I have a certain stance on scripture. It is true that is for edifying correcting and teaching but to use it with wild abandon simply to prove myself right or to prove someone else wrong is not how I wish to use it. This sin't to say that I won't when the need arises but I have been on here long enough to know that even if you post scripture not many are inclined to receive it. I actually prefer to use it to encourage and build others up not to mention there are things that you cannot understand with scripture alone. Many forget that you have to understand and know who God is first other wise we are just dishonoring him by using his sacred word for our own reasons.

The word of God is not a toy and is sacred and holy so I am careful as to how I use it. As for my point on him forsaking Jesus I don't think scripture is required because again to forsake someone is to abandon them as if they don't exist they are dead to you if father really did forsake Jesus then he would have let him rot in that tomb and he would not be honored and seated next to him. Unless you have a different explanation for this?

How could God forsake God? Are people suggesting that at the cross Jesus ceased to be God the Son? Even for a moment?

Blain, a solar eclipse during a Passover full moon is a cosmological impossibility. Yes, yearly Passover was always two weeks after a new moon which means the moon is full at that time, and on the opposite side of the earth from the sun.

Yeah I may have been thinking about something else I questioned my memory after I wrote that. It was the ninth hour so unless it was nine in the morning which even then I don't think it is possible it would have been a lunar eclipse and honestly since my memory isn't the best I don't trust myself enough to even go that far so I retract and apologize for my earlier statement

Why do you people always always think someone's being a pain if they dare to disagree with you?

First of all, who is "you people?"

I am not sure we are in disagreement. I was only asking, because I doubt even if there was a Verse that made this claim you would actually accept it.

Well obviously he wasn't talking to me because I identify as a pikachuXD

But yeah from my experience on here posting scripture rarely seems to be recieved in a lot of debates and even if you did people can always post scripture to counter. The word opf God was not meant to used as a back and forth in this way. Granted this isn't always the case I have encountered people who do recieve it and have had some enjoyable debates but honestly if I am to use scripture I am always careful as to how I use it

That's because the same idiots are on here arguing all the time. And that's a poor excuse for not giving scriptural support.

You, and everyone else here that classifies anyone who presumes to want scriptural proof for posted beliefs as somehow wrong.

It most certainly was. How else do Christians know whether or not to believe someone's opinions?

Habbakuk wasn't God, and God clearly allowed people to make mistakes in the bible. You've provided no more evidence for your assertion than the OP did.
I don't need to provide evidence for anything. The burden of proof is on you and the naysayers who claim that Christ was not literally forsaken of the cross.

Why not go one step further and say that He really did not suffer and die for the sins of the world? That would give the enemies of Christ and the cross a lot of ammunition.

God did not forsake Jesus,
Even though Jesus said that He was forsaken???? How come we have all these naysayers who know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about what actually transpired?

Do you carry that chip on your shoulder when you witness to unbelievers? How do you know I have my mind made up? I just am fishing here wondering if any answer will actually be acceptable to you.

I absolutely believe in Scriptural Proof! I just am wondering why David's prophecy in Psalms, and the spoken words of Christ while dying upon the cross concerning being forsaken are not acceptable to you. Do you believe the Word of God has made an error? Do you believe the Word of God is incorrect concerning David's prophecy and what Christ said? the Gospels were originally written in Aramaic and then first translated into Greek (accept for what Paul wrote which was in Greek). Here is the Aramaic translation concerning David's Prophecy:

Remember: Aramaic is the literal and factual language that both Jesus and His Disciples spoke:

Matthew 27:
46 And about the ninth hour, Eshu {Yeshua} cried out in a qala rama {a loud voice}, and said, “Iyl! Iyl! Lamana Shabaqthani {My God! My God! Why have you left Me}!?”

Mark 15:
34 And in the athsha shaiyn {the ninth hour}, Eshu {Yeshua} cried out in a qala rama {a loud voice}, and said, Iyl! Iyl! lamana shabaqthani, which is, “Alahi! Alahi! lamana shabaqthani {My God! My God! Why have you left Me}!?”

Even the most original copies we have claim that Eshu (Jesus') tone sounds like He was forsaken.

I have provided the meanings to Why have you "left me" and for "forsaken."
They clearly can mean the "same thing."

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” Psalm 22:1 (KJV 1900)

Jesus was quoting scripture.

Who are you to call anyone an idiot? There is never any reason to be name calling if one cannot debate in a calm loving and Christ like manner then we shouldn't be debating at all.
I don't know your reason for debating but if you cannot do so respectfully then perhaps you should back off from it. Believe me I am more than aware of how stubborn people can be on here but we are called to love and be love and if a debate gets to heated or you begin to get frustrated I have always found it is better to shake the dust off our feet and walk away because the fruits of the spirit will not grow if we are agitated.

I love to debate and yes I don't always quote scripture but many tell me the things I say are of scripture and I debate because I simply love talking about the thinggs of God and love to learn and see others learn and grow in him as well that is my reason for debating and if I am hounded by how I do so then so be it I learn from not just good debates but bad ones as well even if I attacked or if others disagree with me. I know I am not always right and if I make a mistake I am more than happy to recieve correction but I never name call

No wanting scripture as proof is not making anyone wrong and like I said I do post scripture when the need arises but I also do not post it willy nilly , thi si not a contest of my verse against yours and you seem to think that unless scripture is posted a users post isn't valid which is not true

Even though Jesus said that He was forsaken???? How come we have all these naysayers who know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about what actually transpired?
I already explained why I said he did not forsake him if you cherry pick my words then of course it will look that way. And at the very least if God did forsake Jesus Then why was he ressurected and why let him do all the miracles he did in acts and even sit at his right hand? The very definition of forsake is to abandon or give up on so did God God abandon Jesus even though he clearly says I will never leave or forsake you or was Jesus quoting the prophecy David wrote in Psalms to remind the Jews who knew the scriptures of the Torah that this was prophecied and that he is indeed who he claimed to be?
