NO PASSOVER, NO RESURRECTION DAY……. KNOW PASSOVER, KNOW RESURRECTION DAY

Play on words you might say, but let’s look at these words in detail. “NO PASSOVER= NO RESURRECTION DAY”

Had there not been the first Passover in Egypt, had not the Israelites been freed from Egyptian slavery by means of “HaYad HaShem” (The Hand of God), had not Elohim struck the first-born of Pharaoh, then Pharaoh would not have let the people go. Had not “Am Yisrael” (The people of Israel) left Egypt, in Egypt, they would have remained.

Had they remained in Egypt, they would have continued being slaves. Perhaps, little by little, the Israelites might have intermarried with the Egyptians, thus, dissipating the Seed of Abraham into a pagan society. Then, Messiah could not have been born from the line of Judah, since Judah, along with the other tribes, would have been interbred with Egypt.

Had not Messiah been born, there would be no crucifixion on Passover eve, and no crucifixion would mean no death, and without death, there would be no resurrection, and the conquering of sin and death, and no conquering of sin and death, would mean we would still bare the guilt of sin. And if no Messiah had borne the guilt of sin and death, where would that leave US? (in a very bad state!)

(without hope, lost, being separated from a Holy and Awesome God).

But…if we KNOW PASSOVER, then we KNOW RESURRECTION DAY.

Since we “know” the meaning of Passover, since Passover happened for the first time nearly 3500 years ago, then we know that Israel was freed from Egyptian slavery. Since Israel was freed from slavery, they had a new start. Since they had a new start, they became a Holy Nation, of which we are a part of.

And since we know that out of that Holy Nation, came the Messiah Ben David, Son of God, Yeshua HaMashiach, the Bread of Life. And the Bread of Life became the Passover Lamb, and since the Passover Lamb gave up his own life as a sacrifice for our sins, then the curse of sin and death was paid in full on Calvary’s Cross.

And since the plan of the Father was to raise His Son from the dead, it happened so! And thus, conquering death with life, at the “resurrection”. And since we “know” the “Passover Lamb” we “know” the risen Savior, and since we “know” the risen Savior, “We know we eternal life” (1 John 5:13) These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that ye may KNOW that you have eternal life!”

What a thoughtful post this one is, but I am so glad you brought out that Christ was God's plan. When the fallen angels, the demons, talked Adam and Eve into bringing evil and death in the world, it was the firs act of God for us, Christ is God and eternal not first in the human God lived in as Christ. The gospel of John tells us so. God used innocent perfect animals to symbolize Christ, but as we read in the explanation of the sacrificial system this symbolic blood of Christ shed worked for salvation. As we read in Matthew 27: 52 "and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people". This scripture shows that the sacrificial system worked for the saints those 4,000 years before Christ, but what Christ did for us fulfilled it and those asleep under the old system were now awake through Christ.

In Lev. 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul" we read that they were told that sacrifice was necessary for salvation. It was a mystery until Christ showed us the truth.

Those early saints who followed the Lord obeyed on faith like most Christians do not have. They say God's guidance is the law and the law is cancelled, and fuss and storm at every suggestion the Lord has for the best ways to live. Just the mention of living God's way brings up "the law won't save" so they don't want to hear anything of God's guidance for living a good life. It is only salvation alone they want from the Lord. At the same time their prayers center on things they want the Lord to give them. We have those on this site, but we are blessed by some of you who are part of the remnant.

Yes I also noticed how blood is an important thing in the bible even to the point of bloodlines which comes into play with salvation again as Jesus himself was a direct descendant of Davids bloodline. As for God's law David would often praise God for his laws and how they gave his life such blessings he wrote them on his heart and his laws are in no way gone they were written in stone for a reason and Jesus himself lived them and openly taught them. His laws may be bering us salvation but they are written on the hearts of those saved

If God didn't have a plan before the foundation of the world then none of us would be here.
The event of Passover was only one event in that plan.
