For what do we long for hearing the voice of Jesus if we already chose the wrong path?

  • “Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention; Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me; instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah.” (Proverbs 1.24,28-29).

If we are walking along the amiss path, what do we expect that Jesus speak to us? Peradventure do we desire that He lead us into temptation (contradicting Matthew 6.13)? In other words, we wish to succeed in a path that keep us off from the true love and salvation?

What can we expect to find aside from Christ? We need to coherent with our faith (pore on Matthew 11.7,8)? Once Jesus is the Way, where will we arrive apart from Him? What good can be ingrafted in us in such a place if only Jesus is our Peace (Ephesians 2.14)?

Once Jesus is the Truth, how can we, without Christ, expect to find out how we are known in the heavenly regions (1Corinthians 13.12)? How to know “who are we?” and “what are we doing in this world?” far off from Christ? Remember that we are Created by Jesus for the good works (Ephesians 2.10) and that only Jesus is good (Matthew 19.17; Mark 10.18; Luke 18.19)?

Once Jesus is the Life, what kind of life can we live without Jesus? In this case, life comes down to trying to buy our role in society so that we can get nourishment or try to find a little shred of pleasure.

What pitiable life! Jesus vouchsafed His life for us in order that we can live the TRUE life, instead of cadging the crumbs that wicked people throw to their “dogs” (see Luke 16.22; Matthew 15.26,27), just so that we can go through the life with no use or profit for anyone (Romans 3.12).

So, choice the fear’s Jesus, love and take in only His knowledge (Genesis 3.11; Isaiah 48.17,18) and have a delightful day hearing Jesus’ voice, enjoying His rest and going after His will that He already uncover to you, but you refused to take up.
