does anyone here play tennis
I am so useless at it lol, well the big one. Much better at table tennis aka ping pong cos its smaller and I dont have to keep running after the ball.
But a good game to play for singles...unless you want to play doubles.

so lets start...I will make a post and then you do one in return and see how long we can keep it up. The object of tennis is to serve the ball so that the other person can hit it back. But if you play it so the other person misses it, its a point to you but if you keep doing that, you wont be playing very long lol.

The ball is in your court...!

I'm starting to see why you're useless at it.

I used to play tennis regularly, but had to quit to prevent injury. Tennis is really hard on your knees, ankles, back, shouldler, wrists, and etc. It's better to give up a sport you like, than have nagging injuries in the future. Played on clay courts the last 7 years and had a blast though. It's gets a little to competitive when you get in 3.5 level and higher. Traded tennis for mountain biking and must admit the views are way better and less attitude.

yes thats why I can really only play ping pong, it has a smaller area and less chance of injury. My problem with tennis is that you have to keep constantly running after the ball, which is why badminton is probably better for me.
However I thought I would give this a go here on the singles forum because of all the matchmaking threads lol.

Mountain biking sounds cool
a great pursuit for singles, although biking UP the mountains is not really my thing. some people are into racing aspect of cycling but I think with mountain biking you do get to appreciate the great scenery if doing it with a purpose in mind. I met this one guy who rode his bike from London back to NZ to raise money for heart foundation...he had never ridden before and it took him a few months, but he did it and wrote a book about it.

my excuse is in my town I have to really fight traffic to even get anywhere on a bike, although I have ridden to town it took me about two hours, and my bike is not an e-bike either. If I saved enough to get it kitted or comverted out as an e bike maybe I would ride more, I guess am just waiting for the battery tech to get better as they are pretty heavy and clunky at the moment.

Do your cycle much poinsettia?

No I lost interest some years ago because I stretched my legs once trying to catch up with my family in bicycles and got a lot of stretch marks because my bicycle won’t go faster I think something was wrong with it.

haha yea.
I cant keep up with the guy I know whos always going round the world on his bicycle (a different one from the other guy) ....plus I dont live in an exotic enough place for him to ride to. Now if you lived in say....Arizona and said you needed a rare bicycle part that only he could deliver, he might take up the challenge.

the guy would get extra bonus points if he had a tandem bike you could ride on together or could kit your bike to be an ebike.

oh good so would you like a game?
Mr Cat did not get back to me. Are you left handed, right handed or both? I wonder if playing with two bats is allowed.

What I meant was, the objective in tennis is to serve the ball so the opponent can NOT hit it back to you. That's the challenge. Get it over the net, within bounds on the other side, but choose the angle and speed so your opponent can't get to it in time and return it.

It's all about strategy, usually split-second strategy.

I’ve played tennis before (not professionally), and it’s an absolute sport that requires alot of stamina, strategy and power.

You’re looking at playing one full game, for at least 3/4 hours, by yourself.

However, if you make a profession out of it, and you’re good? You’ll cop a lot of money, and I’m talking 6 figures and up.
