*“.. he is the head of the body, the church: .. that in all things he might have the preeminence ” (Col. 1:18).*

The house built by Moses was according to the pattern shown by God. The house was only a shadow of the house which is now being built by the Lord Jesus Christ. God kept Moses in the wilderness for forty year and then on the mountain for 40 days to empty him of his own wisdom. There, on the mountain, God gave him the heavenly pattern of the house to be built and also warned him to take heed and build after the pattern which was shown (Exo. 25:40). Every detail of the construction of the tabernacle was shown to Moses. Neither Moses nor anyone else could change the pattern. The words “as the LORD commanded Moses” are repeated eight times in Exodus chapter 40. In building the tabernacle, Moses followed every detail given by God. Only then God’s glory could fill the tabernacle. Now the Lord Jesus Christ is building the spiritual House with our partnership. None of us can make any change in that plan. If Moses could not make any alteration in building the material house, how can we make any alteration for the spiritual House? But many God’s servants make some changes, and do God’s work with human wisdom. That is why we see defeat, failure, barrenness and darkness in our midst. We are warned from God’s Word to take heed in building His House. In the name of a constitution, people have brought in many changes. Also darkness and wrong teaching have crept into the Church.

If we want to take any share in the building of God’s House, first of all, we must keep ourselves under the Headship, Lordship and Kingship of the Lord Jesus Christ. To build a large building, the chief engineer will have a plan. Masons and other workers will be under him. Whatever he says they must do. In the same way, when our personal life, family life and church life are brought under the complete Lordship, Headship and Kingship of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can hear God’s voice day by day for our guidance. But if we are defiled by any sin, we become deaf spiritually and cannot hear God’s voice. That is why many people are deaf spiritually and their ears are hardened so that they cannot understand what God wants to say. Also they become blind spiritually. They do not know God’s plan. Only by keeping ourselves under the Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ in our personal life, family life, and church life, we can know God’s will. Then we will become partners in building God’s everlasting habitation. At the same time we can enjoy God’s fullness in His House. God’s love is fully expressed in His House. Every one of us has a Heavenly calling to be true co-workers of the Lord Jesus Christ, to build His everlasting habitation under His Headship. We can take our share in the building of that glorious sanctuary, provided we are willing to come under His Headship and Lordship.

A remarkable posting. It is so refreshing to leave off the shallow disputes that plague Christian Forums and enjoy some depth. The House of God is the goal into eternity future. It is the consummation of ALL God's plan. It is,
  • His glory in eternity future (Eph.2:7)
  • His Bride (2nd Cor.11:2)
  • His City for ruling the earth (Rev.22:5)
  • His Testimony on earth (1st Pet.2:9)
  • His corporate expression ( a gathering to display Him) (1st Cor.14:23-25)
  • A Holy (separate) place to have fellowship (Eph.2:21)
  • A House worthy of God (Rev.21:3)
1st Corinthians Chapter 3 echoes your posting. Woe unto the Christian who builds amiss.

While I like the OP, I'm wondering why you made no mention of what God's plan is? As well, you seem to have left out the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit as the One who leads, guides and provides us with understanding of Scripture. And He dispenses Spiritual Gifts which allow us to be able to complete the tasks God purposed us for.......

I assume you believe you are spiritually hearing and can hear Gods voice..

If so then you are claiming to be without sin,, since you claim that if a person is defiled by any sin they cannot hear Gods voice and are deaf spiritually..

I am amazed that so many readers have given your post the thumbs up hearts and smiles and they are praising this post.. But sadly i guess i am getting used to the fact that a lot of people either do not carefully read whats written or do not check it against the Word of God.. Either way they missed the bit of leaven you incorporated into your loaf,, Or they agree with the teaching you have put forward that if a Christian commits any sin they are spiritually deaf and cannot hear Gods voice...

Kiranpaul made a statement about "A PERSON". He did not allude to himself as being sinless, did not name anybody, and made it a general statement that any sin would cause problems in hearing God's speaking. You might have understood something else, but I did not get the idea from his statement that he was promoting himself as sinless. It looked more like he was applying the warning to himself as well. And if all Christians were honest, they could tell of a time, or times, that sin hardened the heart and their ears.

I have no problem with people who say they hear God's voice as long as what they say rings true according to Scripture.

Any believer is subject to hearing God's voice IF they (when they pray and seek Him) reach out to Him with a contrite and sincere heart. It is important to know that most often God speaks to us today in a "still, soft voice" and not a burning bush or deafening thunder. Scripture says:

Psalms, Chapter 46:

10) Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

I happened to have seen your last sentence in posting # 8. I seem not to be able to find a posting by you addressed to me, and with questions. In case it is posting # 5, which is addressed to Kiranpaul, I will answer briefly. Here is the content of your posting # 5.

The OP pertains to the House of God. So I showed in my posting how it consummates God's plan. The word "consummate" pertains to the end result. But if you want to know God's plan as it is laid out in the beginning, here it is.
  1. God wanted man in His image and likeness (Gen.1:26-28)
  2. God wanted a "help meet" (a companion up to the standard of) for the Man Jesus (Gen.2:18; Eph.5:22-32)
  3. God wanted man to subdue and rule the earth and its environs of sea and sky (Gen.1:26-28)
  4. God wanted man to "fence about" and "bring to order" a Garden of Fellowship with man (Gen.2:15)
For points # 1 and # 2, man could only achieve this high goals if he had the same nature as God. So God placed man in front of the Tree of Life and commanded him to eat of it. When we eat, the food is assimilated by the system and becomes one with the eater. The gospel of John is the gospel that shows how God gets into man. It starts with "Bethel" in Chapter 1. Bethel means "the House of God". It ends with the promise of Chapter 14 being realized in Chapter 20:22 - Christ in the Father, the Father in Christ and Christ as the Spirit IN man. So 2nd Peter 1:4 says that "we are made partakers of the divine nature."

For points # 3 and # 4, man could only achieve these goals by being energized and empowered by God. So God "furnishes" or endues man with His Holy Spirit. A policeman who tries to stop the traffic while he is off-duty and in civilian clothes will be run over. If he "furnishes" himself with his uniform the traffic will do what he indicates. In Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8 our Lord Jesus commands His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for "POWER". This is given on Pentecost, some 50 days after resurrection day. Its condition is Baptism (Act.2:38).

I hope I have answered your questions brother. Go well.

The OP is amazing. He even says that man has used his reasoning to change the building, something I am so opposed for saying.

I am sure that all scripture is truth and there is no old and new in our creation, for God is the same always. Every verse of the OT agrees with every verse of the NT, and if we see changes in God's word we are not understanding the scripture.

If you read Colossians 19 it opposes the idea that Christ is the new God, or Christ is above the Father.

Colo. 1: 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Actually, your response concerns me greatly. You appear to be saying that God's plan is simply the creation of the heavens and earth and such................... IMO, these ARE NOT His plan, they are His creations. Kinda different, and they were NOT the most important thing to God or His Plan.........

I stated the following earlier on another Thread I suppose, but I'll re-post it here:

God the Father: God OF man. God the Father desired a personal relationship with His children. But, because of His Purity, man could not/can not look upon the face of God and survive. So He put in place HIS PLAN..............

God the Son (Jesus Christ): God AS man. He took upon Himself the form of man, came down to earth, and through His ministry, He established the Salvation Plan for ALL mankind that He ALWAYS intended to establish. This was done through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, for the precious blood He shed on the cross was the price needed to make man worthy to be called the Sons of God..............

God the Holy Spirit: God WITHIN man. Fulfilling His promise to man, God sent the Holy Spirit down to man to dwell within him. To teach, comfort, lead, guide, and bestow upon man the Spiritual Gifts that man needs to fulfill the purpose God the Father purposed him to do.................. All of this is spelled out in Scripture, and most of it in the Gospel of John.

THIS IS GOD'S PLAN!

Firstly, thank you for your response and explanation. The only thing I missed was some scriptures showing what you said. So let me compare what you have declared as your opinion, with scripture.

(1) You say that creation is not His plan. But what does Colossians 1:15-16 say?

15 "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him."

(2) You say that God's plan was for a Salvation plan that He always intended. That means that God promoted evil so that He could put in place Salvation. But what does scripture say in Ephesians 3:10-11?

10 "To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

So the Bible says that God's ETERNAL PURPOSE was to create the creation by Jesus (v.9), and then display, by THE CHURCH, His manifold wisdom. It looks like my first posting was correct after all. I showed a building that showed forth the glory of God.

(3) You say that God's plan was Salvation. But Salvation is would not have been needed if Adam did not fall. That means that God created Adam to fall. The Bible though, says that when God had made Adam, "it was VERY GOOD". The Bible says also that God created Adam in HIS likeness and image (Gen.5:1-2). Would you not say that God's plan was as I proposed it, BUT that sin and death came in and God THEN put a PLAN of Salvation into effect?

(4) Finally, why would God PLAN a salvation? Is not Salvation a LATER plan to recover His FIRST PLAN?

(5) In my answer to your questions, You could easily find that, (i) God is God OF man, (ii) God became a Man, and (iii) God wants to be IN man. Is this not what I showed in my posting # 9. Here is the last part of posting # 9:
  1. God wanted man in His image and likeness (Gen.1:26-28)
[*]God wanted a "help meet" (a companion up to the standard of) for the Man Jesus (Gen.2:18; Eph.5:22-32)

*“.. he is the head of the body, the church: .. that in all things he might have the preeminence ” (Col.

Well said, and true! We who are in Christ, are individual "temples" of the Holy Ghost. And to remain in Christ, one needs to accept the lordship of Christ in daily life! Yes, there are many spiritually lazy Christians, who fail to put Christ first in their lives! Though some eventually repent of that, many do not, which is why many will be sadly surprised on Judgment Day, as in the parable of the sheep and goats - Matthew 25!

I'm not saying that there are any completely sinless Christians (though yes we are counted righteous through Jesus' blood), as that is an impossibility. But it remains in the ability of all - to choose to surrender fully to God with one's life or to hold things back from Him. No one is helpless, as God doesn't ask the impossible of people. The important thing is for pleasing God, to be more important than anything else in life. And to always be praying for His daily help.
