Why isn't Trump trying to stop Russia from trying to kill U.S. soldiers?

Well then since this is your thread don't waste our time look on the internet or call one of the ones who are saying they have proof and show it to us. Until then the Democrats and their anonymous news sources are endangering the lives of our soldiers in Afghanistan. Think about it they are saying that the Taliban can get money if they kill a soldier and they can prove it but wont tell us how.
You make me think of teenagers arguing against each other using internet references. My internet site is better than yours ... As the old saying goes: No amount of evidence will ever persuade you.

This is definitively not a rumor unless you play the ostrich. Nobody can deny that there were intelligence assessments about Russia paying bounties to kill US troops. And this is definitively not a waste of time to brief the President about threat to the troops. And what does the President is doing now about it nothing as usual with Russia ...
There’s credible intel made public confirming this. Trump is not doing his job if he doesn’t act on the information he has now.

It was a terrible mistake on Israel’s part. There’s nothing LBJ nor anyone else from the US could have done. That case is closed a long time ago, and we don’t have any problems with Israel which is one our most important allies.
Not true. A squadron of F-16's was dispatched to rescue the U.S. sailors during the hour-long attack. LBJ ordered them TURNED BACK. He betrayed U.S. service personnel.

Additionally, the Israeli "reparations" paid amounted to just over $3 million. Which is a complete joke, considering 34 U.S. servicemen were killed by Israel, as well as totalling the U.S.S. Liberty vessel--which weights 7,725 tons empty.

Not surprisingly, some people on this board regard Israel as more important than even United States military service personnel, whom the President is supposed to protect as Commander-in-Chief. So they will blow it all off.

And so history repeats itself.

There wasn’t any F-16’s to dispatch in 1967. You should get your facts straight.

The past three year and a half of Trump presidency... I know we don't have the same opinion and I won't change mine and you won't change yours. This is the way it is ...

Well you've got the latter part right. As to the first part you have not facts, just opinions.

In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3.32 million to the U.S. government in compensation for the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3.57 million to the men who had been wounded. In December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as the final settlement for material damage to Liberty itself plus 13 years of interest.

The rest of your comment is conspiracy theory with no proof whatsoever. Why would Israel want to attack the US? smh

Well no any tangible evidence you can give will work. It's the thing about NYT's secret, anonymous, undisclosed, unnamed informent's evidence that has me in doubt.

The first F 16 prototype flew on the 20 January 1974
The F 16 jet fighter first entered service in the US air force on the 17 August 1978

So F 16's being recalled by LBJ in 1967 is an impossibility..

Okay guys,

You're the "experts". You tell me what the exact model of the aircraft was. As if that detail really matters much. I'll give you a hint: I just now looked it up, and found out very quickly they were in fact F4 Phantom Jets.

I'm "knocked between the eyes" because I got the exact model of the fighter wrong. Good grief.

The $3.57 million was to the 174 men who had been wounded. Also a joke. And do note the U.S. gives Israel $6 billion a year in free handout taxpayer money every year, so really Israel didn't pay anything at all.

As for your claim that it has no basis in fact whatsoever, while it is not surprising you would claim that, it is not supported by the U.S. sailors who were actually there. Although I am sure you are infinitely more credible than...you know...actual U.S. military members who actually got shot at.

Straight from their own mouths:
The Betrayal of American Veterans
.
Americans who volunteer for military service effectively write a blank check, payable to the United States of America for an amount "up to and including my life." The United States, in turn, promises to spend these checks responsibly. That bargain implicitly includes a promise by the United States to protect them and to seek retribution against anyone who harms them. In the case of USS Liberty, the United States has failed to keep its end of the bargain.

Agreed. But since the Democrats do not give a hoot about the lives of law-abiding citizens within the USA, why would they care about the soldiers over there?

By the same token, American soldiers should have been pulled out of Afghanistan and Iraq back in 2017, as soon as Mr. Trump became the President. That was an unwinnable war, and all military and financial aid to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq should have been totally cut off. Turkey should have been kicked out of NATO at that time also, and Russia out of Syria. Those soldiers should have been massed along the India-China border, and we would not be seeing what is happening there right now.

Well I think though because the Taliban and the US signed a peace deal if an Taliban solider tried to make good on this then the Taliban it's self would discipline him for breaking it's agreement because breaking their word is frowned on in Afghanistan. So then if an individual Taliban solider knows this then he would understand that he would never collect the bounty in the first place.

If the Taliban have been killing soldiers for the many years that we know of without being paid an bounty then why would Putin even feel the need to pay them to do something they were already doing? Now Putin may have some interest in Afghanistan and wish to see the US farther weakened by the wars continuance but if it is so then Russia has committed an act of war in doing so and could face sanctions or military action.

This though does not change the fact that the ones stating that they themselves have tangible evidence have not presented it to the intelligence community of the US government and then so they are in conspiracy to withhold vital information needed to guarantee the safety of those soldiers(US citizens/interest).

Alright, lets go with your POV. Why would Israel attack the hand that feeds? And BTW we hand out a lot of free money to countries that actually hate us. So why would Israel do that? And why have they never done it since? What would they have gained by attacking the US? I'm listening...

Thing is that if you, or your source can’t get the facts straight, people can start thinking about what else is wrong with what you’re saying.

If there’s been foul play regarding the USS Liberty, it would be nice to shed some light on the case, but keep in mind that Israel is a strategically and politically important ally of America. That means that the person saying this better be sure he or she is right.

Trump (whom I am no lover of) is not throwing our Soldiers under the bus or any such. Nor can he do very much to prevent Russia from paying rewards for those who kill American soldiers........

He can call them out on it. He can use it as a bargaining chip when dealing with them, he can try and get Congress to pass a Declaration condemning Putin and Russia for what they are doing............BUT he can not STOP them, and it's just not logical to think he can.

And, just FYI, the US has given "incentives" to some folks for killing other folks in various Countries. Providing weapons, supplies and such and even cash money to help support their effort. So this is NOT anything new. It's just being broadcast loudly at this time because the LIBERAL SCUM MEDIA will do anything to discredit Trump.

People have to see past what is being said and look deeper into WHY it is being said.

I was stunned at the former President's comments about the war in Russia!

The US would respond in kind to a chemical weapons attack? What? just ignore international laws and conventions! Who does Trump think he is. Telling the 82nd airborne that they would be in Ukraine? Who is he to declare war with Russia! How irresponsible! Then saying this man needs to be removed from power publicly calling on the regime change of Russia!

This guy is irresponsible, going to get us into WWIII.

Can't believe Trump would act so irresponsibly. Oh, wait, hold it, oops, my bad, this wasn't Trump it was Biden, nothing to see here.
