I read this this morning in my reading through Scripture. It is timely, as God's word always is. Fret not, God is in control, it's not like he didn't see this coming, He describes them perfectly, and has an answer:

Psalm 64

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy.
Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers,
who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows,
shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear.
They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, “Who can see them?”
They search out injustice, saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.” For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep.
But God shoots his arrow at them; they are wounded suddenly.
They are brought to ruin, with their own tongues turned against them; all who see them will wag their heads.
Then all mankind fears; they tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done.
Let the righteous one rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult!

Can anyone relate to how this describes the evil we are seeing today among the rebellious protesters?

And some of you are celebrating them, on their side, see it as good?

You better read Proverbs 1:8-19.

And you better repent.

Pro 1:8 My son, listen to your father's instruction, and do not let go of your mother's teaching.

Pro 1:9 They will be a graceful wreath for your head and a chain for your neck.

Pro 1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.

Pro 1:11 If they say, "Come with us! Let's lie in wait for blood; let's ambush some innocent person for no reason at all.

Pro 1:12 Let's swallow them alive like Sheol, and whole like those who go down into the Pit,

Pro 1:13 We'll find all kinds of valuable wealth, and we'll fill our houses with spoil.

Pro 1:14 Throw your lot in with us, and all of us will have one purse."

Pro 1:15 My son, do not go along with them, and keep your feet away from their paths!

Pro 1:16 For they run toward evil; these enticers shed blood without hesitation.

Pro 1:17 Look, it is useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds,

Pro 1:18 but these people lie in wait for their own blood. They ambush only themselves.

Pro 1:19 Such is the way of all those who seek illicit gain—it takes away the lives of those who possess it.

These words certainly apply to what we’ve seen on the news and watched live on periscope. It’s a shame what was done to New York City.

I bet most don’t really care about the reason for the protests, it’s the evil rebellious spirits driving them.

And I believe there are leaders being paid.

I guess one can say that those who do evil are the ones being addressed which ever political side they are on. The tendency is to think as long as your ends are just, it doesn’t matter how you behave.

Yes, another timely passage.

What struck me in psalm 64 was these lawless people rioting and looking for "injustices" to punish, exactly what we are seeing today. They want justice on everyone but themselves while they practice injustice. Justice is coming though.
