Intelligently, no one would do that. But for the back slider, you can see it is possible.
No it is not.

It requires an act of God. There is no double jeopardy with God.

He makes it very clear in scripture in many places.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Romans 11:29

i.e He does not change His mind.

I wonder how the English got repentance from the Greek word meaning unregretted?
29 For unregretted are the graces and the calling of God.

But I agree with your sentiment.

Salvation is a gift from God that He never removes. I believe that entirely. But if there is a such thing as Free Will, then there has to be a point if we wanted to exercise it, God would have to honor that. If we wanted to leave God, even knowing God never leaves us, He must grant Free Will to leave Him or that would be unjust of God.

Again a true born again would/could never leave God....he is in our hearts...never to be erased.

How can anyone who has received the gift of salvation given by God Almighty ever believe they can "undo" what He has done?
Because the Bible tells me so:

Colossians 1:21-23
[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled [22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: [23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel...

Notice:

Reconciled, if

Not:

Reconciled no matter what you do...

I’m so glad I have the word of God:

Psalm 119:104-105
Through Your precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
New KJV

That should be clearer.

Well you are easily persuaded then, but it is not as a sentiment it is truth.

I was never against your view to begin with. I am trying to look at this from Free Will.

Do we have free will?..I don’t want my will I want God’s will.

That is the million dollar question. If we are Saved and guaranteed Salvation. And if we can sin and God will overlook it. It makes it seem if we choose to refuse God, He is still going to force us to go to Heaven. Which would mean we really do not have Free Will at all.

Jeremiah 18:9-10
[9] And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; [10] If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Numbers 14:30,34
[30] Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. [34] After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

I am not complaining here because I want heaven as my final home. I just am looking at this thinking I really did not have much say at all in this equation.

You’re either washed by the blood of Christ or you’re not. Backsliding does not degrade the essence of His blood or the powers within.

I cannot undo the fact that I am my father's daughter.

There is distinction between what I can choose and what I can actually do.

So really your whole argument is moot, because it outside reality, God chastises and disciplines His children even in their wrong thinking... you have no free will against that either.

New King James Version
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:31

Hebrews 10:26,29

Thank you for sharing scripture as you have done. With respect and love I share with you scripture that states nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8.
