Homeschool Predicted To Grow

My wife stays home, but her health makes homeschooling of our soon to be 7 year old more than a bit problematic.....I'm seriously considering a private Christian school for our big guy, but I want to know what their procedures are going to be in September.

most children who had devices actually had video games, which actually do absorb a lot of time.
a lesson might be boring if delivered tradtionally, but make it into a game, say you answer maths questions and when you get the answer right you get to shoot someone or something and add points to your score then somehow that teaches maths.

I really don't know why math and other things are not gamified already.
There's so much potential in that. One can learn history through strategy or RPG video games and campaigns. Imagine a game where you're "the chosen one" to change history, or going back in time through a time machine to change the course of history. There can be endless expansions to this, and through them you learn what actually happened in history, battles, rulers and whatnot.

I dont know if theres one for history. Battleship? Trivial Pursuit? why not just read a choose your own adventure story (historical version) most students learn a bit of history through drama like shakespeare plays. or reenactment. There is world of warcraft.
to learn property trading, you can play Monopoly.

video games are lazy way to teach like tv but more addictive. And they cost a heap of money for gamers. while you sitting pushing buttons all the time the rest of your body is atrophying.

and you dont stay home and teach your son?

I work 12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights, kids need routine....

I like reading, but most kids are not into books (sadly). I imagine even less now than when I was going to school. Smartphones effectively reduce their attention spans down to a mosquito's.
New technology will enable people to walk, jump and otherwise move in the future of video games. It is in development, it will just be very expensive for a long while.

I hate video games they are so boring.
I think they are just a phase some boys dont grow out of. But I do think pushing buttons, livng in a fantasy world and learning how to cheat may come in handy for some people.
