You're reading what I said incorrectly. My question is, if Jesus is amongst both gatherings, what does it matter?
What is your motive for comparison? Are you saying the first is better than the second?
To understand what people think.
What draws them.
What value they see.
My heart is about building church.
So knowing what connects to people and why and why not is of value to me.

You are arrogant.

The pastor of the first one is a friend of mine.
The second one I received their nicely done stuff in the mail and went for a visit.
Stayed for a bit and got involved in the homeless outreach program that they had before I moved to another area.
My apologizes I should not have said you are arrogant.
I should have said you are being arrogant.
Their is a difference.
You are charging me with thing that are false that you think are true.
More because you love your doctrines and can no longer delineate that opposition to them is not necessarily opposition to the word of God.

Seriously?
How?
Jesus existed in God. that means from the beginning.
Ok, let's try it this way:

God the Father: God OF man

God the Son: God AS man

God the Holy Spirit: God WITHIN man

the Holy Trinity............GOD...............

More complete explanation:

God desired a personal relationship with His children, but He could not appear to them as He is for they would not survive the experience because oif their sinful nature......

He took upon Himself the form of man, came down to earth and established His salvation plan which would allow His children to be worthy of being His children.......(via the precious blood of Christ......God the Son)

After the resurrection and ascension of Christ and the coming of the Holy Spirit, God finally realized His hearts desire in that He is now able to "abide with/within" His children........

That's fair enough. Well to answer your question, I'm not drawn to either or favour one over the other on the basis of what was described.

Is that a fair answer?

the Holy Trinity............GOD...............
Jesus is not just God as man.
He is the first born, the lord over the house.
The second Adam, of a new Race, a new nation of new creations.
The only one to have a physical body prepared for Him by God.
Not under the judgement of Adam, but innocent like Adam was before the fall.
The first in the union of the spirit of God with the spirit of man.
totally man from his moms side, totally God from his dads side
Physically what man is Spiritually what God is.
He humbled himself to become a man in flesh with the spirit of a man
Dependent on the Spirit of God within Him in all things just as we are.

You STILL do not understand..................hmm.............

Do you not understand when you say Jesus was "born" referring to His coming to earth, but also saying it when He is in Heaven on His Throne, you are reducing Him to a "creation" of God, and NOT GOD?

Jesus is totally God in that He is Gods Son, Born from above, the exact representation of the nature of God, filled to the fullness of God, speaking the words of God and doing the works of God, having once existed in God and in the form of God.
this is what I am referring to...........this implies that He is "created" by God, and, thus, NOT GOD.......

You could just read down a bit further.
He was born you know.
It was from above you know.
Coming fourth from God, existing in God from the beginning.
Adam was created.
Jesus was born.

Being born != created.

in fact it is the opposite.
We all existed in Adam.
You do not create a child, it comes out of you, is from within you, is what you are.

By saying Jesus was NOT born you imply he was created by God.
Adam was not born.

Glory To GOD!

Now your just playing word games.............I'd rather have dinner than play games with you........

EITHER you do not understand the Holy Trinity (explained it to you) OR you deny it and do not want to put that in writing here...............

Enjoy your night

I know a pastor of a church that was started in an abandoned pub in a seedy area of a not so lovely city.
One rule they had was if you wanted to be a part you had to move there and live near by everyone else.
You might think that would work against the growth of the Church.
But it grew like wildfire and transformed the entire community.
With God adding to their number and healings testifying to the work of the Spirit.

I know another church that had a great advertising campaign which was a large part of its budget.
Had a nice professional service and good music and lots of people being nice and saying hi and giving you coffee an doughnuts
An up beat and encouraging message from the word of God.
It was providing services and outreaches to the community to families and singles.
It even had different locations targeted to people in different stages of life.
You could see it was really well thought out and it also grew and people learned about God.

So what is the difference?
Which one would you want to be a part of?
That is the difference between a poor and crime infested city and a more wealth city.

I would be careful using God added to number .He warns us of adding to the number comparing one self to oneself. flesh to flesh. Whole communities like Jones town walked by sight and not by the exclusive faith that comes from hearing God as he works in us to both will and do His good pleasure.

Some murmured as its seems desireing some outward credit self edification . Hebrew 6 informs us better things accompany salvation the promise he works in us That He will not forget the good works we offer towards his name.

That promise keeps us comforted

Philippians 2:12-14 King James Version (KJV) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

The first would seem to serve a signs as false wonders. God heals all who walk by faith the unseen. The lying wonder is for those who seek after what they call "sign gifts". No such thing, signs follow given the faith to believe God and not sought after to self edify a person. That sounds prideful.

They leave a person wondering. Wondering does not convey faith. I would a say it is the foundation of Paganism. Out of sight out of mind.

The second seems to have a welcoming format .

FYI: Home | Restoring the Church

DyingChurch.org’s strategy is similar to Rick Warren’s that is stated in his book “A Purpose Driven Church”, however we believe that prayer, both individual & corporate is the most critical element needed to restore health. We also have expanded his steps 1-4 into ten smaller steps in the specific sequence listed under training from the main menu above. We encourage that every step be bathed in corporate prayer .

This is helpful in understanding your comments..........why did you not be more forthcoming with your various Threads you Authored?

I now understand why I had problems with what you were putting forth........as I surely do not agree with Rick Warren...............or his ideologies..........

anyway, had you been more forthcoming, I would not have "NOT" liked you, rather, would have understood where you were coming from...............anyhoo, now I know...........

Sounds like a joke waiting to happen.

Smaller bribes for corrupt politicos?
