COVID SHUTDOWNS TURN DEADLY

The lockdowns imposed by state and local officials are resulting in disturbing social indicators, including increasing death rates. After five months of continued lockdowns, suicides, homicides, domestic abuse, child abuse and child sexual assault rates are skyrocketing, causing many to ask, “has the cure become worse than the disease?”

Suicides:

The Disaster Distress Helpline, a service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), reports a heartbreaking 891% increase in calls for help when comparing March 2020 to March 2019.

There has been another cost that we’ve seen, particularly in high schools. We’re seeing, sadly, far greater numbers of suicides now than we are deaths from COVID. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose,” said CDC Director Robert Redfield.

Pandemic’s effect on already rising suicide rates heightens worry: Economic and social pressures brought on by COVID-19 lead to elevated risk

Will COVID-19 Make the Suicide Crisis Worse?

Domestic Violence:

In the U.S. and around the world, domestic violence rose by 33% just in the first week of the COVID shutdowns, according to a United Nations report. Women’s shelters across the U.S. are overflowing and reporting record high calls for help as five months of forced COVID shutdowns are stressing households in new and brutal ways.

Child Abuse:

The National Sexual Assault Hotline has experienced the highest numbers of crisis calls in its 26-year history, with half of the calls coming from minor children.
"Their safety net collapsed during this period," says the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network's National Sexual Assault Hotline, (RAINN) President Scott Berkowitz said. "Normally, the first people to spot signs of abuse are adults outside the immediate family: teachers and guidance counselors and the parents of friends.” But with schools being shut down, the children have no access to their safety nets and no way to escape danger in their own homes.

Homocides:

Murders in the U.S.A. are up 24% for the year, resulting in 3,600 people killed as of August. The Wall Street Journal reports that nearly three quarters of the nation’s largest cities have seen double-digit increases in murder rates. Chicago had the highest homicide rate in history this July. Compared to last July 2019, Atlanta reported a 240% increase (from 5-17), and New York ra 277% (from 13-48). This trend was well established before the BLM and Antifa riots began, although widespread lawlessness has exacerbated the rising homicide rate.

Untreated Medical Conditions:

The likely highest human cost are the lives lost when hospitals were forced to shut down all departments not associated with COVID. This meant that cancer screenings, treatment and even surgeries were delayed by months. And for many, that delay was fatal.

A study from the University College of London and the Health Data Research Hub for Cancer reports that due to delays in diagnosis and treatment, an estimated 33,890 Americans will needlessly die because COVID shutdowns prevented treatment of their cancers.

its quarantine, not a cure.
It is up to people themselves to observe quarantine, if they end up abusing each other while in it that is something they need to address in their own communities and homes. and frankly, if you are male and so called head of the house, the buck stops with YOU. Look after your own house first and if your neighbour needs help, go help them, but you need to be praying about these issues.

The alternative is, lots of people dying and constant burials and hospitals being over run, then orphans and widows to look after which could have been prevented. The virus doesnt just affect those infected, it affects everyone no matter their circumstances, because those NOT infected still need to look after those that are, and need to look after those who are sick and vulnerable regardless.

There are hotlines and helplines for people struggling and this is where churches need to take action. if someone is not safe 'at home' provision needs to be made for a safe place. The sad reality is not everyone has a home to go to. if you have the room, you open your home, and set up a quarantine space and make it a sanctuary this is what christians have been doing with their homes since forever.

How weird is that. Suicide at a time, when there is more freedom and prospects.

These are all serious issues that but certain situations were already present in the individual's life before the lockdown and worsened after the lockdown. For domestic abuse and child abuse, I agree doing to work or school provides some relief during the daytime but what about evenings and weekends? So whether the virus actually increased domestic and child abuse is debateable. A lot of suicide calls likewise are probably linked to abuse of being stuck at home with an abuser or living in a dysfunctional household, rather than purely unemployment reasons. I'd be curious to know the reason for the calls. I can see how the lockdown is responsible for increased homocides, since there would be more theft and burglary etc as a result of unemployment which can quickly escalate to shootings. Also, now, a lot of hospitals and medical offices are open for business. It is the issue of patients not going in for their check-ups despite the medical offices being open.

A lot of people are going to voluntarily reduce or stop going to restuarants, gyms, malls, concerts, games, movie theaters, etc. because of personal choice not because they are being told to. I would wildly guess at least a third of the U.S. population, until we have some reliable treatment for the virus and/or the numbers go waay down. This is going to have a big impact on business even if there is no lockdown.

censorship, fake news and fear mongering from the liberal one world government forced quarantine over nothing
I believe it was a lab created and released by China. The virus is real and was a big threat at the beginning to the elderly and immune-compromised. It still is. Protecting the medical institutions from being overrun was important or else it would have turned into like New York City where they forced the COVID positive elderly back into the nursing homes. New numbers are coming out saying that killed 10,000+. Their hospital was at max capacity but again it wasn't a nationwide problem. Not every state, city, or county had that problem.

Most countries weren't prepared for that type of virus. I have seen some experts believe the virus back in March has mutated and became weaker as to why more are recovering faster. Lab-created virus decay faster and mutations are often destructive.

As to if a cabal or democratic leadership was involved with the release, idk. But the Democrats have definitely seized the opportunity to enact their deep dark decades of suppressed agendas.

As for was the 1st lockdown needed. At the time, yes. Why? Because the law-abiding and love for your fellow countrymen demanded we take it seriously. The innocent people had no idea how bad it was going to be or what to expect. Pandemic situations suck in general throughout history.

But now we know if COVID was the only problem then yes it would be a 1st priority threat. But unfortunately, the threats are greater than COVID itself.

You would just have to study the articles data and sources. Teen suicides and depression has been on the rise even in 2016. As the culture grows darker without the light of Christ, this is the unfortunate side effect. A world without hope or a seemingly doomed future.

Idk because when states started to reopen, these places we're packed.

But according to polling and data, the markets will respond quite positively to a COVID vaccine. As for people well I just read if my memory serves me correctly that 64% of people are reluctant to get the vaccine.

As for me, I don't want it but especially I'd rather wait and see the side effects. So I say I hope they get a voluntary vaccine soon that works so people can chill out while the markets rev back up.
