How do you define "family"?

At what point do blood relations stop being "family"? Second cousins and beyond?

At what point does a friend become "family"?

I consider my immediate family actual family.... God included.

I have some extended family I see and even fewer that I'm close to.

I have some friends I wish were family including church members. However blood is always thicker than water.

I consider my immediate family my only real family bc they're the ones who I'm really myself and where they don't judge and are by my side. Extended family lose contact and friends are fleeting. They change with every new career, new family, move, church change, etc.

I wish I could have a more positive answer. 🤣

1. I would say family to a Christian should be those of the body of Christ.
2. Difficult, too many variables.
3. When they become a Christian

Hope I passed

scientifically, family is creatures like yourself. I.e. Humans. apparently we come under the family category hominidae, which also includes apes like gibbons, chimpanzees and gorillas. Some people say apes ought to be given human rights as well, since they are in the same family.

I'm not a scientists though, so I generally think that family just means people.

Jesus was asked to go with his mother and sisters and brothers once and he replied that anyone who did the will of God was the same as his mother, sisters and brothers.
when we become Christians since we accept Jesus sacrifice for us on the cross by his blood we become family members. Everytime we eat and drink the lords supper together...we affirm we are family because it represents his body and his blood.
