The BDF (Bible Discussion Forum) is a nest for pharisee's that like throwing accusations around, spiritual and intellectual pride, name calling and saying that everyone who disagrees with their view is going to help and a heretic. Humility doesn't really exist here.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there are three aspects of one God the word of course became the son of God being born a man so we can know him

“Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The word that is one with God is jesus Christ his Son

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

...And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:14, 16, 18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so then you have the conclusion of the apostle John the beloved

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

please allow for a good spirit I’m happy to share scripture saying anything I say , just here to discuss God bless you
What’s really really interesting to me regarding this post here is this

‬‬

Now consider the beginning of the New Testament

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so if you look at everything from the gospel it has revelation can you see Jesus there on the beginning ?

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion...........and over all the earth,........
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus directly stated that He was the "good Shepherd" (in stewardship to His Father, the Husbandman), even of the Old Testament:

Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Jesus stated that the real sheep of Israel belonged to Himself:

Joh 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
Joh 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Psalms 23:1 KJB - A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalms 23:2KJB - He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Jesus stated that He was the Lord God, who will be the separator of the Sheep and the Goats, even as found in Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 34:15 KJB - I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 34:16 KJB - I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
Ezekiel 34:17KJB - And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

Matthew 25:31 KJB - When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Matthew 25:32 KJB - And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33 KJB - And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Luke 19:10 KJB - For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Jesus directly applied Isaiah 56:8 to Himself:

Isaiah 56:8 KJB - The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
John 10:16 KJB - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Jesus directly applied Isaiah 45:22 to Himself:

Isaiah 45:22 KJB - Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
John 12:32 KJB - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Jesus directly applied Zechariah 13:7 to Himself:

Zec_13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Matthew 26:31 KJB - Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Mark 14:27 KJB - And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
[/QUOTE)

yes all true . But he’s much more than that for instance prophecy is great stuff To expand understanding if we’re willing

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is ALOT everything really

Jesus is God.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
what about things Jesus taught his followers in the gospel things like this

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-39

Any thoughts on his teachings ?

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

One of my favorite Scriptures:)
you know one of my favorite parables ? Sort of ties into your post there it’s found in likes account

“And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

then the event you quoted and then a parable for understanding

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:25, 27-28, 30-

jesus teachings really do center on love for God and love for thy fellow

You don't believe in the Holy Trinity? There are three separate unique entities - Father, Son, Holy Spirit comprising one God.
No, the standard definition of "trinity" is Roman Catholic heresy. I believe in the Trio.

You just misused 1 John 5:7.

It doesn't teach what you said "three aspects of one God". (Modalistic or Sabellian heresy)

Here is what it does teach:

1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1Jn 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Notice, the Bible doesn't say "three aspects of one God". It clearly states that three (Persons/Beings) agree together, like as a Chord or Trio in music, 3 individual distinct notes or Persons/Beings that agree harmoniously. Just as Jesus said:

Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Did you see how John used the word "one"? The disciples are individual persons/beings, not the same person/being. You may see more here - https://www.christianforums.com/thr...only-the-evidence-for-1-john-5-7-kjb.8060173/

You just misused (wrested) each of those texts.

God is not "three aspects of one God".

In the beginning Elohiym (true Hebrew plurality, "God" as Family unit, like humanly saying Father JONES, JONES Jr., and Uncle JONES) are three Persons/Beings working together in a common goal ("one").

When:

"God said ..." (it is the Person/Being of the Father speaking to the Son, Revelation 4:11; Romans 11:36; Hebrews 1:2, all Creation attributed to the Father)

When:

"God made ..." (it is the Person/Being of the Son working out the expressed will of His Father, Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 1:2-3; Creation attributed to the Son on behalf of the Father's will, for the Son has His Father (God) above Him, John 20:17; Genesis 41:10; John 14:28; Exodus 20:12; Hebrews 1:9)
2Ti_1:18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

When:

"God saw (or Spirit of God moved) ..." (it is the Person/Being of the Holy Ghost/Spirit as the eternal Witness of the acts of the Persons/Beings of the Father & of the Son, and participated in inspiring Creation, Job 33:4)

The "Ancient of Days" is the Person/Being of the Father, not that of the Son:

Dan 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Again if you think I’m “ teaching heresy and “ wresting scriptures” I believe this forum is moderated pretty fairly I heard so take it up with a moderator I have no interest in arguing with you, so I’m gonna scroll past your comments .

again sorry you feel that way but all your actually doing is derailing a thread where people were going to have a normal Christian conversation again if your claim is heresy follow the rules and report it

I actually think it is not so well moderated, but that is just my experiential opinion, and if "moderation" cannot understand the Bible to know a clear heresy when one is spoken, well, that is their own issue. I do not expect moderation to do anything about heresy (except as disagrees with their own private apriori), as I do not need 'muscle' to combat erroneous theology. I only need scripture, and the spirit of kindness and love to show you the better way therein, but if you refuse to speak about it, you must continue in it.

Here is the Trinity

1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Jesus is the beginning in which all things are.

The Father is God

The Spirit hovers over the deep.

Then God said "Let there be light"

Then Jesus is conceived and on earth there was a great light

Mat 10
5¶These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11¶And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Many make the mistake thinking this is the same ' good tidings ' as The Gospel Paul spoke of in 1cor 15 1-4

So Jesus words in Mathew 10 above , are not what we preach today .

As to the OP (if I get the drift of the objective :D ), John the Baptist said that Jesus is the Bridegroom and that he himself was "friend of the Bridegroom" (in none of "the wedding FEAST/SUPPER" parables [elsewhere in the Gospels accounts] is "the Bride/Wife [singular]" being mentioned. Nope [see also Luke 12:36-37,38,40,42-44 "when he will RETURN FROM the wedding"... THEN the meal!]) :

John 3:29 [said by John the Baptist] -

"The one having the bride is the bridegroom; and the friend of the bridegroom, the one standing and listening for him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled."

Here are Jesus' words in the Beatitudes:

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

These are not so much commands or ideals for us to strive for.
Instead, Jesus is saying that the people who are meek, poor, and mourning are blest and happy: both now and in the future!

So the believer in Christ Jesus will find himself at these Beatitudes - this is who we are!
