Everything Jesus teaches motivates me, however Matthew 11:28-30 is my greatest motivation. Here we see Jesus inviting everyone unto Himself, even the most wretched.

25For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of Man will come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done.…

Matthew 16:
amen I just wanted to add a word to that from Paul

“Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”

amen Jesus didn’t come for the Self righteous ....he came to bring sinners to repentance and make us righteous who will believe .

“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

often our perception that we are righteous keeps us from repentance and The hope of righteousness given through believing the gospel

Matthew 6:33

New International Version

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
that is one of the verses that changed my life and the best word of advice a person seeking truth can do God bless you

I often
These things were already prophesied even if they did not fully understand them. So when you put your faith in the promises of God your faith is imputed to you as righteousness. The Kingdom of God is promised to those that we preach to. They enter it by faith that Jesus is who the Bible says he is. This Gospel was being preached before Jesus died on the Cross by Jesus himself telling them about it. I don't think it is technically correct to say they did not preach the Gospel when the scriptures said they did.
Yes that was my point the disciples before the cross were already preaching the gospel That they weren’t preachingnjesusndied and rose before hand but they were preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.

as was Paul Paul says the first thing he preached of the gospel was Jesus death and resurrection . That doesn’t mean he didn’t preach the kingdom of God also he only says I first preached to you .....

I completely agree the gospel was preached by Jesus in full and then everyone else arenwotnesses to its truth

Behold the ma
They were not telling people " Jesus has died for your sins , was buried and Rose again on the third day according to the scriptures. Thats the Gosoel which is ! the power of God unto salvation.
that’s one part of the gospel you aren’t supposed to take an event from the gospel and then omit everything else yes jesus death and resurrection are essential but if you then reject his word you’ve rejected the gospel

I think you missed it . They did not understand the only thing that saves a person today . They did not understand the death ,burial and resurrection . ( 1 cor .15 )
so what were they preaching ?
believing in Jesus Christ according to his gospel is the only one who can save today , yesterday and forever

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Look what you are rejecting

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

are you claiming Jesus Christ doesn’t get it or his word doesn’t apply ?

“Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word....

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:42-43, 47, 51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Reconsider brother

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s Gods word it’s about eternal
Life kesus sent the gospel out for us to believe it’s not a good idea to make your doctrine about why we should reject the lords word

John 6:
28Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” 29Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”
Amen the one God sent Who said

“I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

...Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:26, 28-29, 31-32‬ ‭

One thing that jumps out to me about the sermon on the mount and really all of his ministry is that it is centered so much on mercy ...
I’m lately noticing this is really our foundation through the gospel. I love how Jesus began to teach God is our Heavenly Father who loves us and we’re meant to be like he is .....
Amen! You are noticing what the Pharisees did not seem to grasp. And this message was always in the Old Testament. Jesus was trying to get them to see that. Their hearts were waxed gross and hardened so that they were blind to what was always there in the Old Testament.

When Moses asked to see his Glory, he said "There is a place by me..." and thou shalt stand upon a rock.. Then he passed before him a
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Jesus told them.. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
When he said that he was telling them to go look in the scriptures and understand what it meant. See it was always there for them to read and yet they seem to have no clue what mercy really looked like in daily life and in their relationships. Especially their relationship with the gentiles or a sinner, or a samaritan. Many of the parables were given specifically to get them to understand that they were not having the right heart toward sinners and gentiles, like the parable of the prodigal, among others.

And are we any different? I hope so. We as born again believers should have this revelation of mercy and if we do not show this character in our lives we should be very concerned about the condition of our relationship with Christ.

Matt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (The immediate context is being merciful and kind to your enemies and those who hate you or persecute you)

Mateo time form the low grade insults ....

jesus the lords words the ones written down on your bible in the gospel that you constantly avoid this is a circle tho so I’m gonna move on and talk with people who can accept what scripture says and have scriptural insight I’m not looking for a circular argument with no merit

again sorry we couldn’t find agreement but you should check your ideas against what the Bible actually says but that’s just What I would suggest as another believer

yes brother good stuff there the same principles always existed . The difference in the law and the Old Covenant and the gospel the new covenant is mans perception of God.

What i Mean is in the Old Testament this was their reaction when God spoke

“Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭

do you see what I’m saying ? When we believe what Jesus has to say about God our perception changes from his word will surely kill us ....to this

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

Many sadly still have the mindset of Horeb at Sinai about the sermon on the mount they think it will condemn them because it reveals the need for repentance within

were talking about the message the disciples were preaching . They were not preaching the death ,burial and resurrection. Besides the fact it hadn't happened yet ,they never understood it when Jesus told them . He told them so that AFTERWARDS they would remember his words . Jesus would not have been crucified if they had known .

yes sir exactly the context perfect in mercy. Jesus says many times we have all received mercy now our role is to offer that same mercy and there’s a promise that if we do this he will treat us the same way at judgement imagine a world ruled .....by perfect mercy

It was a progressive mission, to the Jew first, but that is what was done, and now it is preached to all people everywhere yet the message is the same and Paul did preach it.
Acts 20:25
And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.
amen prophecy always said it would be God bless

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

One of my favorite Scriptures:)
thank Jesus you reminded us due to sometimes neighbors are😛😁😊
