I am member of the St. Francis de Sales Association. I love St. Francis and by reading the quotation by St. Francis I try to understand and realized the meaning of words.
I like very much the famous quotation - " Love everyone with great love but have no friendship except for those that communicate with you in the things of virtue" - St. Francis de Sales

Christians are taught to love. We are to love even our enemies. I believe this love is the Christian love which differs from physical love. I read somewhere that there are three or four types of love. Can not remember them, but do remember Agape Love, which is the God like love. Loving our enemies does not mean we are to associate with them though. Scripture also teaches us to come out from them. We are taught to avoid even the appearance of wrong doing which would be hard to do if we are associating with sinners on a daily basis. We are also taught that sinners are not to celebrate Communion, but I know that some churches today allow sinners to do so.

We can not judge the hearts of man, but we can know them by their fruits (works). Jesus told us this.

God bless
