Sins were remitted . They needed redeeming. They needed washing away .
21¶But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
No this verse ( as the Catholics teach ) is not talking about our past sins .
But all the sins before the cross that were only remitted.
Rom 3

I have yet to hear a Calvinist say god forced them.
So I would suggest we stray from adding words to their belief system
But they (at least some) will say they did nothing or even that they had no choice in the matter...

I see your sister is backing you up, then again you are just like her, that’s why she is on ignore, she does not know how to have a normal conversation either without attacking people from a tainted point of view.
Were talking about the essentials of how a person is saved . is there anything more important?

Remission of sin

Matthew 26:28
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Acts 10:43
To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

hebrews 10
For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once [a]purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, [b]O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been [c]sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being [d]sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds,Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is [e]remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Where's that in Scripture? Paul never refers to the body of Christ as sheep, that I'm aware of. Sheep is a reference to Jews.
I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they
will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd.

In this case, every Jew at any time where the atoning sacrifice was made is saved.
Whether they believe god or not

the sacrifices were a symbol, of the only thing which could save.
Nope, those sacrifices could not wash away sins. They could temporarily be forgiven. They trusted in God's provision at the time.

This has been brought up several times. It is not a reference to Gentiles.

Deuteronomy 6
24 And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.

Yep salvation by faith alone
Remember in Babylon and up till the restoration no sacrifice was offered. Where those people list who died then because there was no sacrifice?

^ That is how I understand that passage, as well.

It speaks of a timing/chronology/sequence issue... (but is not referring to "the Gentiles," like, "in this present age [singular]" [/the NOW])

That still does not work completely I do not think, actually out of context scripture will pose a big problem.
Always use context. It’s not hard to compare scripture with scripture. God has made it clear to those who have received the mind of Christ. But it takes diligence, and living by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

And not assuming anything without first putting it to the test, like the Bereans did.
