Everyone is afforded the opportunity.
Yes, but I said Romans 5:18 applies only to believers because they only are made alive in Christ. Doesn’t that verse talk about being made alive in Christ? Therefore that part only is true of believers, which is why I said “ all believers”.

Always use context. It’s not hard to compare scripture with scripture. God has made it clear to those who have received the mind of Christ. But it takes diligence, and living by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

And not assuming anything without first putting it to the test, like the Bereans did.
I personally think understanding culture and history is very important and the style of expressive language of that culture...the North American mindset cannot relate to how people from other cultures express themselves. .. imho

Yep salvation by faith alone
Remember in Babylon and up till the restoration no sacrifice was offered. Where those people list who died then because there was no sacrifice?
Leviticus 19:
21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.
22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

Forgiven but not cleared.

Exodus 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

I believe Jesus died for all without exception . But not the other two points you said .
So you don’t believe Grace can be resisted and you believe in unconditional election?

Yes, we study that too. That’s why it’s called historic-grammatical interpretation. But you don’t need to rely on man to tell you what scripture means. Teachers are helpful, but the best teacher is Christ in you.

I like how some state they are taking the moral high road (generally speaking on this forum) but still find a way to get their digs in..

I think @throughfaith shares some good insight.
No one mentioned him by name...and I liked some of throughfaith’s insight. I think eternally grateful was speaking in jest. The emoji he put indicates that.

But they (at least some) will say they did nothing or even that they had no choice in the matter...
Not exactly true. In the reformed system, they did believe and they did choose.

Yes, Hebrews 11 states that after the cross is something better than they.

I would never state that a Jew was saved in this manner before the cross. They didn't experience salvation before the cross. The best their faith could do was Abraham's bosom.

No Hebrews states never.

Again tell us. If there could be no sacrifice how can there be forgiveness (Babylonian captivity on)

I see your sister is backing you up, then again you are just like her, that’s why she is on ignore, she does not know how to have a normal conversation either without attacking people from a tainted point of view.
yep I called her a slavegirl (there is my post)
to bad too. I used to really have a trust in this lady. Her hate if Calvinism has changed her like it did others

Exactly true. People here have said those exact things.
They denied the necessity of faith? And they said there is no choice involved? That’s not an adequate representation of what Calvinism teaches.

Check what the Reformers actually said.

Thats true. But it still is EXERCISED by the believer.

And in my view, it is a gift extended to all but not accepted by all. Are you ok with that?
