Bob - I'm pretty sure the ACA is not going to be killed by the Supreme Court.

The last thing that this nation needs is a gross number of fake AK47 knockoffs from places like Srilanka or where ever Walmart's would get them.
I’m all about the second amendment, but it’s being grossly corrupted by the extreme right wing. I don’t believe for one second that the second amendment was meant for outlaws, vigilante groups and crooks, so they should be able to start private wars.

Was there such a thing during the Constitutional Congress? But congress did approve Social Security and later Medicare. They are empowered to make decisions like this. The Constitution is not final. We've had plenty of amendment's and I'm sure there will be more. The U,S. Constitution is not (and never should be) carved in stone.

Oh yes, for example. John Adams the 4th president and considered the father of the Constitution had this to say. In relation to people's labor, they knew it was the private sector that would establish the best means of meeting people's needs.

"We should find no advantage in saying, that every man should be obliged to furnish himself by his own labor with those accommodations which depend upon the mechanic arts, instead of employing his neighbour, who could do it for him on better terms. It would be of no advantage to the shoemaker to make his own clothes to save the expence of the taylor's bill, nor of the taylor to make his own shoes to save the expence of procuring them from the shoemaker. It would be better policy to suffer each to employ his talent in his own way; the case is the same between the exercise of the arts and agriculture--between the city and the country, and between city and town, each capable of making particular articles in sufficient abundance to supply the other--thus all are benefitted by exchange, and the less this exchange is cramped by government, the greater are the proportions of benefit to each."

This Supreme Court is not as conservative minded as some people believe. Chief Justice Roberts has proven he has no desire to "rock the boat" by reversing previous SCOTUS decisions. Even with a 6 - 3 majority, the Republicans/Conservatives are not guaranteed results they would proclaim as great victories simply because Roberts and the RINO Kennedy, who most often votes with the Democrats, can not be counted on. that makes it a 4 - 3 certainty (adding the new Justice just Confirmed) with the two swing Justices left to make things happen.
