In no way is any of that a word against God. It kind of reflects what Thomas said when he saw Jesus. So in it's over use it could be using the title of the Lord in vain. But I don't see any blasphemy.

The only thing that is debatable out of the 10 commandments is the 4th commandment. The rest is moral law, even in our modern age... Unless you are an atheist or an idol worshipper then you might look at 6 or 7.

My keeping the Sabbath has got nothing to do with me "earning" my salvation. I am obedient to God and it is between me and Him. If I falter I don't repent to CC's members :) I discuss it with Abba Father Himself ;)
You seem a decent fellow so I'll get to my point.
I love God so it is in my character to not worship anyone else. And murdering someone who bears his image is out of the question.
I love Jesus so I honour him as such, it's part of who I am.
I Love my wife therefore adultery isn't an option for me.
So on and so forth. I have no commandments to tell me not to do these things. I have conviction of the Holy Spirit, and my conscience toward the love that I have from grace, so these things are not a command, but a new nature.
The stone tablets are in the Arc of the Covenant which is in the throne room of God. We no longer have them, and they are not for us. They are a conviction against those who do not have the love of the Father.
As far as keeping the Sabbath, I do so everyday (not without fail, I am a human and fail not of lack of want but out of being dragged away by my own designs) I seek and keep my rest and my peace in Jesus.

JOHN 5 [44] How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? [45] Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. [46] For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. [47] But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Jesus was speaking to jewish men, all born under the Law, all claimed to be following Moses.

this conversation had nothing to do with gentiles keeping the Law of Moses and the Sabbath. which gentiles were and are not under the Law, never have been.

Lol

the command “keep the sabbath”

explain that to us, explain what it means, what it encompasses. What it looks like?

if you can’t, your just another wanna be lawyer who thinks he is righteous because he thinks he obeys the commands,

oh and so, what was nailed? The penalty of the law was nailed. Because NO one but Christ had ever kept the law, thus all are seen as under sin, the penalty of sin is death,

Jesus also told us how to live under the new covenant, he told us to love God and love others and through paul told us to seek after the things of the spirit,

the law (commands included) were a schoolmaster, to convict us of sin and lead us to the redeemer, it was NEVER given as a means of sanctification, thus to try to use it in that way is to take it out of context, and the only way even possible is to water it down to a way you can actually achieve it like the jews did.
You seem stuck on a preconceived notion of what we’re talking about, if you were more honest with yourself you wouldn’t be that way and know that we’re not teaching works salvation.

you would not consider that taking God's name in vain? ok...............:cautious:

yeah, well, Thomas did not go OMG and then look around at his friends and giggle

what Thomas actually said was:

26Eight days later, His disciples were once again inside with the doors locked, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

27Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.”

28Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!” John 20

when someone says OMG, they are not saying Jesus is Lord and God in the flesh

you Seem stuck on a ppreconcieved notion of what i am talking about

i am talking about what it means to obey the sabbath and Asking those who claim they are, to tell us how and what it means

you Speaking about a totally different subject (salvation by works). That is not my objective in this conversation

one day, I would really like to understand why some people get so hung up on what they call the Sabbath, that they will argue about it ad infinitum. some become quite angry and abusive while snarling at others that they are actually nice and kind. (grrr)

it's Sabbath this and Sabbath that and a whole religion around it if you ask me

it's nonsense as the NT plainly teaches not to let anyone judge us on such things

it seems some folks get around that by saying things like 'well Paul was a miscreant anyway and we should not give him such authority'

it's a circus and a merry go round and no one can make sense of it. it is a big hiccup in the progress of some people and one that they seem only too happy to put in the way of others who have long ago understood that the rest God desires is that we rest in His Son and cease from our own works

now was that so hard? ;)

The Sunday worshippers seem to have a log in their eyes, and that log makes them make all kind of false accusations.

When God established a Sabbath, it was to have both a literal and spiritual rest. We can rest in Christ for He takes care of all our sins, and we are told to also rest from our labors. So that is scripture, not to be used to accuse, judge, and blame.
I have a log?

yet you did not respond to my post how the word sabbath was never used until the law,

and you do not tell us what it means to keep the sabbath, how is it obeyed? what are the requirments?

I mean committing adultry? According to the law by defenition is is laying with someone who is not your spouse, but according to god we can look at a woman (or man) with lust, and are just as guilty as if we did the act.

yet we have people water this law down all the time.

what does obeying the sabbath mean? I mean if you do not really know, just confess you do not know. But don’t tell me it is non of my business. If your going to insist I obey the sabbath you must tell me how, this you made it my business

So you dont think Jesus came to fulfilled what was written of Him in the law but He came to start a different religion. I think not

MATT.5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I AM NOT COME TO DESTROY, BUT TO FULFIL. [18] For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

What does Jesus say? First he says he has not come to destroy the law. Then he goes on to say the law is intact until heaven and earth pass. Has the earth passed? I know for a fact im still standing on this earth. So...Lets use some common sense. Jesus did fulfil the law and the law is still to be followed. It was not nailed to the cross as the "many" claim. So what did Jesus mean when he said he came to fulfill the law?

LUKE 24 [44] And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that ALL THINGS MUST BE FULFILLED, WHICH WERE WRITTEN IN THE LAW of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, CONCERNING ME.

you have not, and can not, which is why Jesus had to come

1JOHN.5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.[3] For this is the love of God, that WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS.

Not sure what Moses is thinkin but Johns pretty clear. Is Gods sabbath day {Gods 4th commandment} grievous to you? Sure does seem so.

Ok

HOW DO I KEEP THE SABBATH?

don’t sit there and try to judge people and not tell them how to do it.
show us how, using the Bible.

You right, it will not go away

as long as people, need to be led to Christ the schoolmaster will continue to be needed

if you need the law. I must question if you have been led to Christ, because you continue to place yourself under the schoolmaster

GALATIANS 3 [23] But BEFORE FAITH CAME, WE WERE KEPT UNDER THE LAW, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. [24] WHEREFORE THE LAW WAS OUR SCHOOLMASTER TO BRING US UNTO CHRIST, THAT WE MIGHT BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH. [25] But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. [26] For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus

Before faith came to each and everyone of us, we are under the law {the 10 commandments, the schoolmaster}. So, according to this scripture you are kept under the law of the 10 commandments (the schoolmaster) until you are justified by faith in Christ. No shortcuts. Then there is no condemnation. After we have been brought to faith in Christ, do we then make void the law or are we to still be keeping Gods law?

ROMANS 3 [30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. [31] DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: yea, we establish the law.

Just because we have attained faith through the Word are we now to “do away” with Gods 10 commandments? GOD FORBID!

you should stop asking tough questions. and making Biblical sense. the Sabbatarians are struggling with this, since their theology is based on opinions...
It is a set policy of Suntonians to not use scripture, but opinions. They do not post anything positive, only judgments of others, opinions, and trying to harm anyone who dares quote scripture about God establishing a Sabbath. They try to make their opinions so set that they equate it to salvation, when it is a way to live after swalvation, not anything that establishes salvation. They use God's word as an excuse to induldge in sinful ways of judging others, and making false accusations.

In the kingdom of heaven, there is room for different doctrines, but there is no room for these false accusations or judgments of others.

Being under faith not law is not an excuse for lawlessness, it is a matter of Christ forgiving our sin.

Which is it?

Is breaking a command still a sin? Yes. I never claimed otherwise

But what constitutes breaking the command? The command itself dies
Not tell us. So we
Must look to the law to find out correct? Otherwise we can have no idea if we are obeying the command or disobeying it?

You just telling me to obey it or claiming you do does not mean anything

If you can’t tell us what time s you are just blowing smoke

One again. What does boating the sabbath consist of?

I will not ask again. If you refuse to answer I will understand you have no idea what it means and move on
