Instead of trying to find hope, be a hope!

  • “And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” (Gen 8:11).

I was mulling over this: why this dove brought a freshly picked olive leaf in its beak? Furthermore, why was it saved of the deluge? It was saved specially to bring hope to Noah. A dove doesn’t eat leaves. So, the Creator chose this dove specially for this moment.

So, what were you created for? Perhaps you were elected to seek out hope where it isn’t doable to see any sign of life.

Perhaps you think: but, what can I do? For example:

  • What profit does it exist in a cloud of the size of a man’s hand when it is being faced a drought of three and a half years? (1Kings 18:44; James 5:17,18)?
  • For what does it serve a small olive leaf amidst tons and tons of water?
  • What is a jar of olive oil when the debt is huge (2Kings 4:2)? Or a handful of flour in the bowl and a little oil in the jar amidst a terrible drought (1Kings 17:12)?

You don’t need to won great things in order to be a hope herald. With Jesus in your innermost being, you can:

  • Quell a bear, a lion and a giant (1Sam 17:34-37) without even a sword or spear (1Csam 13:22);
  • Overpower 600 enemies of the Creator with an oxen goad (Judge 3:31);
  • Quash 1000 enemies with a fresh jawbone of a donkey (Judge 15:15);
  • Tear a lion without anything in the hands (Judge 14:6).

Not only this! Only your presence will be suffice to change the reality of the place (see Deut 28:6,9; Mat 5:14-16). Just be fraught of the True Treasure (the Holy Spirit – 2Cor 4:7)

Only have good eyes (Mat 6:22,23) to see the grandiosity of what the Creator put in your hands (even if this is only a staff – Exodus 4:2). By the power and grace of the Creator, you can free a nation from the bondage of the sin or call a people that you don’t know (Isaiah 55:5) to get close to the Creator.

Therefore, if you are going through and ordeal and didn’t find hope, can you be sure: çyou are a hope harbinger. So, be a hope and be happy in this day that the Creator did specially for you (Psalm s 118:24).
