One of the strongest Presidents on religious rights and abortion will be held in contrast to a new administration. I pray for this leadership to protect America, to put Americans first, and to protect the rights we have held so dear for centuries.
I pray they seek the Word of God in all that they do. God grant them the wisdom and knowledge needed to make logical decisions. You oh God heard our prayer but had a different plan. Your will, will be done and our faith in you gives me the power, the endurance, and the strength to keep pushing forward. Where immorality grows, give us the tools needed to run towards the culture and not hide like Gideon in the winepress.
The Israelites had lost hope and faith in God. They reverted to hiding in the caves and mountains.
Judges 6
2 Because the power of Midian was so oppressive, the Israelites prepared shelters for themselves in mountain clefts, caves , and strongholds.
But God you always have a set number of the faithful, that you prepare for each generation. You chose Gideon and Gideon wasn't only surprised but he felt like the weakest to do anything.
14 The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
15 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”
Of course, the rest of the story, Gideon becomes a mighty warrior and you oh God uses an army of 300 to defeat the Midianites who's army was like a swarm of locusts.
5 They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts. It was impossible to count them or their camels; they invaded the land to ravage it. 6 Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the Lord for help.
Provide the tools and guidance to respond with patience, wisdom, peace, love, kindness, and courage to speak your Word into all matters even if it may be uncomfortable. Your Word is the only giver of life and our society is on life support.
