I pray for it and I see seeds of it right now, and a friend did some scripture work on the subject for me, what do you think?

Oh Yes! I saw David Barton mention this and how revival and awakening times can extend for 80 years, so that a person may be born, live and die within a revival period and know no other, he went on to say he is seeing the beginning in how many young people are returning to the roots of our faith that the parents had not inculcated them in.

Hi Kat
There does seem to be a shaking going on. Let's hope many people respond to it by turning to God.

I've heard some preaching about end-time "revival".
It's not something I can say stands out to me from scripture but I haven't studied it in depth.
Have you any examples?

My first thought was to say:

"A great awakening after the greatest dumbing-down in human history? Not likely..."

However, scripture does seem to indicate that a vast number are beheaded for not worshipping the beast.

So...

(There is hope after all.)

Be careful what you pray for.

“The Great Awakening”, that which occurred after the American Revolution, did indeed turn many toward the church, but at what price? It was largely based on anti-authoritarian attitudes; attitudes that revolted against the structure and traditions that existed in the church since apostolic times. Those who turned to the church did so largely due of powerful and charismatic leaders, not from any deep or thoughtful “conversion”. Some believe the current state of the church in America, and our rather listless and valueless American society; both began with these widespread but shallow “awakenings”. Let us pray the next awakening will cause the return of a basic and thoughtful Christianity; one that recognizes and embraces moral absolutes.

Nancy Pearcey in her book “Total Truth – Liberating Christianity from its Cultural Captivity” provides an in-depth review of this issue.
