Prayers please

My dear Gideon, There is so much to say about dementia. What is the answer of the church to that? Why did it hit your friend? Too much to be written in a post. Let me tell you that what you are doing right now is true christian charity. You help your dear friend, you are with her, you give her company and safety. Thank you in the name of the lord. I will pray for your friend and also for you in the intercession in tonight's holy mass.
Lord, be with us now to strengthen us; about us, to keep us; above us, to protect us; beneath us, to uphold us; before us, to direct us; behind us, to keep us from straying; and ‘round about us, to defend us. Blessed are You, O Father, forever and ever. Amen.

A dear friend of mine is showing signs of dementia. She is nearly 69. She has other health issues as well. I have to get her to doctor's appointments as she's not long come out of hospital. It's near impossible. There is no obvious cause and it came on suddenly. I need wisdom and patience and she needs to be made well.

Dear Gideon, I understand that God challenges you a lot. I live far away from you, and I cannot be physically with you and help you, I am sorry. I can imagine that you do not know how to make ends meet with your job, your family and suddenly a friend in need of long-term care. Any possibility to "integrate" her in parish life?
