Only God is interpreter of scripture....revealer and teacher....
imagine being locked up in a totally dark room .as punishment..no way out..you cannot see a thing....
only the master who is on the outside has the key....to the light
but he will not open the door until you obey him......
such is Life...and death

Acts 17

10¶And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

11These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
John 1
6¶There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The law of God is the will of God and Jesus did the will of God.
Yes and the Lord said to us ....follow

to me follow is to walk behind....then I can see what my Master is doing....and walk next to ...so I hear what he says....most definately I will never abandon my teacher...

the blood of the master is holy blood....
and if it falls to the ground..

are we not witnesses of those who killed my master
now that the veil of the Master is lifted....
and with whom we are lifted up

to now see

God's will for us is to love Him, love each other, love ourselves and obey the Gospel of Christ.

2:3 [Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Hello, Brother Deut!

When He tells us it is our time and turn to sell, then we sell. Amen? We be ready to do more than just sell... we be ready to die for Him! Oh, what a privilege!:):coffee:
When Jesus said this in Matthew 19 he was addressing a bigger issue. The rich man was asking Jesus what he could do to be perfect. The rich man had a religious spirit and was proud of his following of the law, but Jesus knew the rich mans heart and told him to sell everything he owned. For this man that was the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of the gospel. Jesus was not telling everyone to sell everything they own, he was trying to prove a point that you can’t earn your salvation through something that you”do.” He followed this up by telling the 12 that it was impossible for a man to do something to be saved, but with God (through Jesus) you can be. So you can see this was the main issue he was trying to address with the rich man. If you feel a conviction to sell things and give that money or the church or to the spreading of the Gospel that is an admirable thing, but I don’t believe Jesus requires this to gain favor with him.

Jesus requires this to gain favor with him.
Only faith in the shed Blood of Jesus gains favor with God...

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith must precede all else.

Luke
17:9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
