Needed References

I'm not really sure where the best place for this thread would be but I choose here.

I am looking a few specific Biblical resources and was hoping for some recommendations.

I am wanting a book that explains symbols and there meanings in the Bible, such as water and The Holy Spirit.

I'm wanting a book that givings the meaning of various numbers used in the Bible. The Bible uses 40 to denote completion or fulfillment. It is used 146 times throughout both Testaments.

I'm wanting a book that explains all of the names of God The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the Bible. Such as El Roi, The God Who Sees Me.

I would like as much information as possible for each such as how many times something is used.

Standard books are fine, E-Books would be easier to search such as PDFs, ePub or Kindle. All recommendations are appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't have any references. The bible itself is its own best reference and resource.

When you wander outside the bible for your requested info, you subject yourself to the whims of man's interpretation, with the majority of the time being led down the yellow brick road

My advice is to search Kindle e-books.
- Meaning of symbols, numbers, etc..in the Bible.
- You will find some books there.
- It is better for you to select which book...

Buy ten of these books and you will get ten different sets of opinions. If you want the correct set of opinions, you'll just have to follow good ole' Oyster67 around (he hasn't wrote a book yet.)

I find that the understanding from the Holy Spirit and the Bible itself are more than sufficient. I use a searchable Bible app to copy and paste verses. Many are available for free if you are willing to go KJV. God bless you Crevice.

I found the following helpful in my personal studies:
Interpreting The Symbols and Types by Kevin J. Conner

Also, Rose Publishing Pamphlets provide basic information on various topics such as names of God, etc. they can be located at Christianbook.com

"The Exhaustive Dictionary of Bible Names" by Dr. Judson Corwall & Dr. Stelman Smith is another helpful book I neglected to mention. If you decide to get this book be sure it's the Copyright 1998 edition. The 1998 edition includes Descriptive Titles for Jesus, The Religious Jewish Calendar information, and the Stones in the Breastplate. I do not believe the updated version has all of this information.



Two books about the numbers in scripture that have been helpful are: "Number in Scripture Its Supernatural Design and Spiritual Significance" by E.W. Bullinger; and "Biblical Mathematics Keys to Scripture Numerics" by Ed. F. Vallowe. I could only find these in Used Book websites; such as, Thriftbooks.com, etc. Of course some used books are also listed in Amazon.com.

Really surprised at some of the responses here. It's called research. People do write books, about topics in the Bible, that are not opinion pieces.
