and God does not apparently step in when people want to sin egregiously. To me, God almost has nothing to do with it.. except in the spiritual realm

Right now, he has given Earth to humans

If they do right, then things go relatively smoothly
If they do wrong which they always do... we have misery

and God does not stop any of this, that I can see. Some day He may.. but who knows when that day is
Untill that day we all have to suffer. its part of our walk to suffer.
Its normal for us to feal the sadness of sorrow and blessed are those who suffer persecution for Justice sake. for thiers is the kingdom.

My Bible says we are more than conquerors in Christ, we have been badly served by religions, that is where the lie of "it's our part to suffer" originated.
We are required to eschew religion and walk in relationship, to the point on judgement day there will be those who did miracles in His name who will hear, "get out of my presence, I never KNEW you".

I didn't post that I disliked it, the red x is a "disagree". I wish it weren't a red x, the red x looks harsh.
Experiencing sadness and sorrow is foreign to me in my walk with our Lord and Savior.

Its fine Grief is also is a form of suffering as so is depression to me.

1 peter 3:18
18for christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.
We as christions we share in each others upset and celebrate in each others joy however the enemy can make those weak in faith sufffer terribly too. Those who are strong in faith truly are those who have seen suffering all be for i feal and those who are the strongest in faith are those who are wise in years and older in age. Those who have endured suffering and still kept a heart for God are strong in faith. many dont and many stumble here.

Your right in your will that we are strong in the lord and we should overcome
and its what we need to hear when we suffer a good strong will like your self here.

lol... I am NOT happy BECAUSE my focus has been on God for some time now

I mean... when u start seeing things as God does... which being in Christ allows u to do to some extent

well... seeing things God's way can make u one miserable person... bc u look around and see just how FAR from that everything seems to be...
I understand your frustration and even anger with what’s going on in the world. I share that.

Then the Lord reminds me I’m not of this world. Just a sojourner.

And He loves and delights in us, as we should Him.

So take heart! Your Father in Heaven, and your brothers and sisters in Christ on Earth love you.

Take joy in that.

Joy is a weapon.

Joy is your strength.

Joy is " stepped into"

That is revelation of power.

Your joy is non negotiable.

" my people ate destroyed for lack of knowledge"

Do not look at them. They will bring you anxiety. Look at the promise.
Read pilgrims progress.

There are 2 types of believers. Ones that read it. Ones thst have not.
There are books out there that reset you in a good way. Put definition in your walk.

Find humor in things you normally would not. Re invent that arena of your life.

There is a beautiful saying...."enjoy the ride"

Looking at kamala/ biden/ and their ilk.....equals anxiety/ stress.

Think ;"hey God got us this far, he will get us the rest of the way"
Use this uncertain time to establish yourself in faith and Joy."

Laugh and laugh, and laugh, and laugh , and laugh, and laugh.

Laugh your way to victory.

Joy is your weapon

only after death do true Christians experience real joy, happiness and peace

until then... we have hell on Earth

thanks to those who hate God... which is most people
no
It is for us now.

It is related to what Jesus said was " the peace that passes understanding"

Your entire outlook is circumstantial.
You have circumstances that, in your mind, are " preventers".
You have developed that outlook.

Circumstances are determining your joy.
I AM TELLING YOU.... there is another dimension. One you step into. Not passive.
You are hanging around passive results village.

Leave that town. It is the dwelling of defeat.
The playground of stress and anxiety.
Move out!!!!!
Go!!!!!

Get into the promise

Stop seeing God and his promises as passive.

Take what belongs to you.

Take what he already made provision for.

SEE GOD AS WHO HE REALLY IS...

......HE IS THE "IN SPITE OF" GOD.

His promises are true and there and YOU CAN lay hold of them IN SPITE OF CIRCUMSTANCES.

GOT JOY????
LOL

LAUGH RIGHT NOW.....no mattrr if you FEEL it.
Laugh anyway.

Now you have stepped into joy.

There is another dimension.

Your view is one dimensional.

I got the joy revelation years ago.

I also get sad, frustrated and totally understan sorrow as God also experiences those negative emotions.

But to let that rule you into " no joysville village" and dwell there is to live on bread and water.

Jesus told me personally " it is ok to come to me mad or sad or frustrated, but do not end our time like that"
Step into his promises.

"....and they went forth rejoicing seeing themselves worthy to be beaten for the kingdom"

Joy in a beating????
Huh????

Who is this God we serve????

A God of JOY!!!!

there is good religion and bad religion. The definition of Religion is simply: relationship with God, although not sure you would find that exact description in Webster's Dictionary.

It seems a lot of people who say they are spiritual, not religious are just people who do not think they have to obey Christ's commands...

maybe that's just a misperception but... even misperceptions are not entirely invalid, all things considered

suffering is definitely a part of our walk w/ the Lord.. Ever since I got serious about following Jesus.. and He gave me the power to overcome some sins that had been besetting me.. i have had nothing but one big suffering after another (LONG stories...)

Every now and then, I see this thing happen where.. I suffer.. I get angry @ God... and then down the road I see that... the suffering led to.. well, the short way of saying it is: something good

so yeh... Those who say we should not have to suffer following Jesus... well, I guess all I c an say is they haven't followed Him in the same way I have..

can't judge anyone but I recall that passage in the Word that says something like "If we suffer with Him, we will reign with Him".. if we only suffer w/ Him

I mean, how can anyone avoid suffering anyway? Even non-Christians suffer... No human avoids it (though some sufferings obviously are far more egregious than others)

Then there is this thought: Why should Jesus, who was perfectly innocent, never sinned.. why should He suffer but His followers should not?

makes no sense.. (although, that said: suffering does not make sense on some level because it was never God's will for anyone to suffer. SIN made all the difference)

yeh, it gets tiresome people c alling your beliefs "religion" (as though that were so godawful) just bc they disagree or think they disagree...

i say Think t hey disagree bc... Who can argue w/ such things as this:

all humans suffer
Christians are going to suffer bc the world does not like them (world, flesh and devil)

there is NO arguing that...

people like Joel Olsteen teach that .. something to the effect that If you follow Jesus, you will prosper, not be poor, be healthy not sick... etc

I think that is being worldly and that is not the gospel. Look how much St Paul suffered... shipwrecked, punished by authorities... etc..

you suffer. It sounds extremely dishonest of you to say that you do not

or maybe you are a teenager. I never suffered much in my younger years either.. I did suffer, though... just not as much as later..
