Why believe the bible?
________________________________________________
The god of the gaps fallacious argument (challenge to knowledge) says:
=> “You can’t prove I’m wrong, so I’m right.”
The theist irrefutable argument (challenge to theory) says:
=> “You can’t imagine I’m wrong, so I’m right.”

The energy that caused the creation of the world or big bang theory: Where did this energy come from? Well: Since all history still to this day, nobody has ever been able to not only prove but to even imagine an answer to that question, other than; “This energy came from God.”.
If someone consciously says “I believe that the energy which created the world did not come from God, but I cannot imagine that the energy which created the world did not come from God.”, this is denial.

Since forever the only answer ever given to that question is: “This energy came from God.”.
Consciously choosing to not believe this one&only ever given answer is denial.
This is why surveys show that 80% of people in the world believe that God exists (a miraculous being).
(and therefore also believe that miracles exist)
Consciously choosing to not believe that God exists and that miracles exist is irrational.

That being established, naturally; God did not create us without letting us know what he wants.
Naturally; God gave us simple access to his word.
And naturally; God has the power to preserve it.
( Now, oppositely to the bible, all religions in the world they all tell you that you can deserve heaven, but; that it’s gonna be hard.
The bible teaches precisely the opposite.
The holy bible is the only book in the entire history of the world which teaches that since we are not perfect none of us will ever be able to deserve heaven, but; that it’s super easy because God loves us anyways&invites us for free. )
=> The bible says that hell is a lake, a lake of fire&brimstone, and the bible specifically says that hell is in the heart of the earth. Well, it has been only about a hundred years since science discovered&confirmed that yes indeed, in the center of the heart is underground lava, that this is where the lava that comes out of volcanoes comes from.

Historians don't refute the historical fact that Jesus Christ very well existed, and that impressively, more than 2000 years after his death still to this day Jesus Christ is still the most known person of all time.
=> And it's not a coincidence that Christian historians stated that Jesus resurrected&that it was decided to reset the calendars to zero. The word of mouth that Jesus resurrected shook up the world so much that it was decided to reset the calendars to zero. It's not a coincidence. Jesus resurrected.
=> Why do we universally say that we are in the year 2021? Because 2021 years ago Jesus did what he did. We tell time itself by the earthly life of Jesus Christ, by what he accomplished.

Consciously choosing to not believe is irrational.
Certain people don't know this but, the bible is irrefutably, overwhelmingly, by far:
=> The most influential book of all time, the most translated book of all time, that has the most manuscripts of all time, of testimonies of the most known person of all time.
=> That same book has always stated being a book that isn’t like other books but a supernatural book being God’s forever preserved perfect word.
=> That same book has always stated that a Creator created the world, and that his name, happens to be the one&same name which we all universally use to tell time itself.
________________________________________________

To conclude
________________________________________________
( Note that apart from a few points, the objective of this thread was not to expand on the overwhelming evidence of the bible. )
=> If you don’t believe that everything the bible says is true, regardless of the reason, there’s a request I’d like to ask you;
I’d sincerely appreciate it if you could please even if only for a few minutes that you genuinely tell yourself that everything the bible says is true: While you watch 1 of the 2 following youtube videos.
(videos which are about the bible teaching how easy it is for anyone to freely instantly get: Unlosable eternal heaven guarantee)
=> “directions to heaven whole armour ministries” (25min)
=> “the bible way to heaven sanderson1611” (7min)

Welcome. As a believer, I (as do you) argue the authenticity of the Bible from a Christian perspective. There are many facts that point to a younger earth, like how many dog breeds there aren’t. It still can’t prove the Creation story. When did they make the division of BC and AD? What was the calendar based on prior to that? Those who interpreted the Bible and promoted Christianity, very well may not have been born again believers. There has been much corruption. If you journey to the Bible discussion forum it is easy to see that even among those who trust scripture, there is still variance in interpretation. There is a large divide when studying the word (Bible), and studying the Word (Logos, Christ). The word can be twisted, while the Word just leaves you in awe.

lol Thanks guys.
Man I have to admit I find seriously disappointing&irritating to realize that apparently there is no forum feature allowing for CC community members to freely edit their own content.
I'm a perfectionist so that's so unbearable. X_X
(mistakes in my thread here&can't freely edit)

Also, I see that community members can't communicate freely between each other privately with PMs, that's very unfortunate.

Lacking these is tremendously detrimental to the experience, especially freely editing one's own content.
This is the first forum I experience that lacks such fundamental perks which are game changers for a forum.
It would really be appreciated and amazing to say the least if this was resolved!
Well, I assume that perhaps this might have already been mentioned by someone else before me.
Either way, this really is a big deal. I had to voice it.

But yes @Hungry, men's interpretations can be corrupted that's true, but God's word itself cannot be corrupted as you know. This is why it's a sin to have private interpretations of the bible. We are to use the bible to interpret the bible.
If a man's interpretation of the bible contradicts a verse, his interpretation is wrong.

What makes you think man interpreted it correctly, or that we understood it correctly? God never ordained the English translation. Question 1: how are we made in the image of God? That’s not what scripture says. That’s what man says.

I agree. It's a simple thought experiment. Everything does not come from nothing. So where did everything come from? God of course. One may ask, where did God come from? God came from God all the way to infinity. I think even the ancients figured this out early on and understood that God is the Eternal One.

I enjoy Christian apologetics. You might enjoy The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell if you haven't already read it. I haven't read the whole thing, yet, but so far it's really good. Packed with so much information.

There is a 5 minute window in which you have the ability to make edits after a post. Now that you know this, it'll incentivize you to scrutinize your posts more in order to ensure they are of the highest quality you can make.

I believe the 5 minute edit rule is in place to prevent abuse. It would be possible to go back and completely wipe a post, change everything it says, and completely undermine the integrity of a conversation or debate in these threads. In turn, entire threads could be derailed by people doing "stealth edits" well after the original post.

These threads get heavy sometimes. People get upset and passionate and lose debates. It isn't hard to imagine that someone is going to have sour grapes and completely rewrite their post history, or delete it, just to obfuscate what the original debate was.

If you've been on forums, where there is an unlimited amount of time to edit, then you've surely witnessed this. It can ruin the entire message board experience.

Just make sure to make your posts high quality and use that 5 minute edit window to make any last minute edits.

Welcome to the forum and I look forward to seeing more of your interesting posts.

Believing that the bible is not God's word (but rather that it's man's interpretations) is an irrational belief (see original post), and obviously unbiblical.
Also, the Creator naturally wants his creation to know what he wants, so your teaching that God does not provide his word in the largest existing language in the world is irrational, plus the bible is clear that God would like for all men to be saved, so it's unbiblical.
And, you claimed that scripture doesn't say we were made in God's image, here:
Genesis 1:27 "God created man in his own image"

@Runningman
Hi man, yes, if a statement is made, and that the result is that it's impossible, to not only disprove it, but that even with permission to freely use imagination&imagine anything; the result is that it is impossible to even imagine that the statement is false:
=> That is irrefutable logical proof that the statement is correct.
Now you add to this the fact that this situation in regard to said specific statement has been going on since the entire history of the world; you then realize the amount of incommensurable pure denial of reality that has to take place for someone to consciously reject the statement.

Well, apart exceptionally from the bible I could never really stand reading books it's something about the structure of how the text is presented I can't do it lol, but I appreciate the suggestion.
Yeah I guess I understand in theory the reasoning behind the alleged concern attempting to justify the limiting of forum editing but, and I might be wrong, but I don't think the concern is based on reality or that it's legitimate.
I been on many active forums with zero editing limits&I never, ever witnessed, or heard, of anyone abusing post or thread editing&whatnot in any way, whatsoever.
I know that's not somehow some undeniable proof of anything of course but, yup.
And regardless, even if it was the case; I would say without hesitation that the pros far outweigh the cons anyways you know.

Yeah I intend to post additional threads&posts, I appreciate knowing that you found this one interesting!

I believe that Scripture is accurate but man is not. Salvation is not granted according to how perfectly you understand, but based on whether you are spiritually reborn and grafted into Christ. God’s Word is not in English, Hebrew or Greek. If His Word is written on your heart, Scripture isn’t necessary. This isn’t unbiblical.

The soul is similar to the flesh but invisible (1 Corinthians 15:44, Luke 16:23-24).
A person has a spiritual heart (invisible) and a physical heart (visible).
The physical heart is systematically purely sinfully corrupted (Jeremiah 17:9).
Someone who has unlosable eternal life; a child of God: Has God's laws written in the heart of his soul, but still has the sinful corrupted dying heart of the temporal flesh. (Romans 3:12, Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 7)

In everyday life whenever a person becomes a child of God; it's that person's soul&spirit that receives unlosable eternal life.
Not that person's flesh; that person's sinful corrupted dying flesh continues to get older&eventually physically dies.
=> As long as a child of God has flesh: Sin is part of that person.
=> As long as a child of God has flesh: Scripture is absolutely necessary to differentiate biblical ideas of the soul from sinful ideas of the flesh.

Did you read this in the Bible or formulate it on your own?

Hi everyone, this is my first time on this website, I hope y’all ‘ doing well.
Hello and welcome to CC, brother Matthew. Jesus asked me to come taste, and see if He and His Word was true. So I did, and I saw, and It is. We must initially come by faith, and then live and believe by faith. Once we begin listening for and to the Holy Spirit, it becomes experiencial.

Isaiah
55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Revelation
3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Nice to meet you and that's a very compelling Intro:) Whenever I get in a discussion of creation, I bring up the time when a group of scholars put info into a computer program about the schematics of our existence. They asked the odds off all this wonder we know just 'bumping' it's way into perfect alignment. The odds were zero of course. The integrated complexity of our DNA alone, is mind boggling and to think every little element accidentally came into perfect fit with every other thing, really takes more faith than believing in a loving Creator. God bless you!

1 Thessalonians 5:23 “spirit and soul and body”

Ecclesiastes 12:7the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

Luke 16:22 “the rich man also died, and was buried;”
Luke 16:23 “And in hell he lift up his eyes,” (no flesh nor spirit)
Luke 16:24
“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue(no flesh nor spirit)
The rich man physically dies&is buried and God instantly proceeds to describe how the rich man's soul (spiritual body) has eyes and a tongue.
1 Corinthians 15:44 “There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.” (*yes I'm aware that this also applies to celestial bodies)
The soul is similar to the flesh but invisible.

Hebrews 10:14 “them that are sanctified”
Hebrews 10:16 “saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts”
=> A heart that has God's holy laws in it.
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
=> A heart that has sinful corruption in it.

2 Chronicles 6:36 “there is no man which sinneth not
Ecclesiastes 7:20 “there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not”
Romans 3:12 “there is none that doeth good, no, not one”
That's 2 hearts.
As long as an eternally hell immune spiritually heart sanctified child of God has not physically died to get rid of the sinful corrupted fleshly heart he still also has (Romans 7); sin is part of him&therefore:
=> Scripture is needed to differentiate biblical ideas of the sanctified heart from sinful ideas of the fleshly heart.

So you imagine our immortal souls to be as described in the story about the beggar? I’m not saying you are incorrect. Perhaps that is accurate. Or, Christ told many, many stories in ways people could understand. Since Hades/Sheol or the waiting place until judgment was a popular theory, Christ went with it to illustrate a point. How is this relevant to elohim? My point was that in Genesis elohim, the plural form of gods was replaced by God. Jehovah became Lord and elohim became God. So in Genesis where it states “God” said, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness…” it might not be Jehovah but elohim (heavenly beings). That’s not what it states in English but that’s what it states in Hebrew. That’s not an error in God’s word. That’s a human error based on presumption because you can’t write gods (elohim) and preach monotheism. There is only one God (Jehovah- self existent) but He made heavenly beings (elohim). That’s why there is much confusion about Jesus being God. Jesus is Theos (Devine) Son of Jehovah (God the Father).

Believing that the Creator (who naturally wants his creation to know what he wants) chooses to not provide his word in the largest existing language in the world, is an irrational belief.

I don't "imagine" that God described us how the appearance of the soul is similar to the flesh but invisible, that's what God did. One would have to use imagination to deny that he did.
"How is this relevant"
You claimed that "If His Word is written on your heart, Scripture isn’t necessary.", my response was about how scripture is still necessary, that's how it's relevant.

I would like to ask you a question;
=> The perfect God's perfect word: Where do you believe we can get it?

Scripture is accurate as it was recorded. It’s just not perfectly translated. To put a percentage on it, I would say it’s nearly 100% good enough. Some things are also poorly understood and incorrectly taught. Trust me, I love the Bible. In fact I studied it more than anything and I’ve done a lot of studying. I’ve dissected much of it word by word to extract as much as possible. I’m not saying it can’t be trusted for its intended purpose. It was never designed to answer every question posed by man. The Lord loves to communicate with His children. To answer you, getting God’s perfect word is best from the Source.
