This is teaching that we must thumb our nose at any guidance Jesus gives us, that the entire 119th psalm is not from the Lord.

It is turning the beautiful mercy of God for us so we may live with Him forever completely cleansed of our sin into a travesty. The Lord told us Jesus nailed our sins to the cross, that we are dead to sin, that we are freed from some commandments God gave Moses. We are told there is no sin except willful sin and blasphemy we are not forgiven for. Man has not listened to this, instead man tells us not to listen to the entire spirit of the law that God has so mercifully given us for our guidance.

God put an end to the Law of Moses to prove that Salvation would come by His Promise and not by human works.
God did not need to "prove" anything. The fact that the Law of Moses is contained in four books of the Bible, and governed the life of Israel for over 1,500 years means that the Law had its own importance, and would be fulfilled by none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

Until the crucifixion, Jesus upheld the Law in its minutest details (but not according to the scribes, lawyers, and Pharisees). The Law was given by Christ to Moses when He personally wrote the Ten Commandments on tablets of stone with His own finger. Not once but twice. And those Ten Commandments are an integral part of the Law of Moses as well as the Law of Christ.

Paul said that the Law was (1) holy, (2) just, (3) good and (4) spiritual, and that it was "ordained to life". At the same time Paul said that the Law (the Ten Commandments) renders every human being guilty before God. So the Law of Moses had many reasons for its existence.

However, God had already planned for a New Covenant while the Law was in force. And the Bible plainly tells us that the New Covenant is FAR SUPERIOR to the Old Covenant, just as Jesus is far superior to Moses.

Yet there are quite a few Christians who do not believe that the Church is under the New Covenant. They think it will go into effect only after the Second Coming of Christ! Then there are other Christians who delude themselves by thinking that they can be under both covenants at one and the same time. More foolishness. They wish to observe the feasts of the Old Covenant knowing full well that when there is no temple in Jerusalem, they cannot possibly observe any of those feasts. And Passover, First Fruits, Pentecost, and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) were fulfilled in AD 30, and what has been fulfilled must not be resurrected.

Every Christian has a solemn duty to carefully study Paul's epistle to the Hebrews, and then abandon the Old Covenant altogether. The blood of Christ has been applied to the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Sanctuary, where He is our Great High Priest, making intercession for us. And there is no such thing as an "Investigative Judgment". Christ finished His redemptive work perfectly.

If you are a Christian, you will never mature . The ' Spirit of the law ' ,there is wisdom There . Because of a higher principle it points to . A mature believer who has learned to discern the spirit of the law grows in maturity and wisdom, because he knows how to do ,act and be in situations that the letter of the law could never do .

The law of the Lord IS the spirit of the law. We are under the new covenant, the law is written in our hearts. The letter of the law is gone--over--done with. Why are you digging it up?

To bring out one small portion of the entire spirit of the law and say your small portion is all there is to law is denying God.

I just did a study on law, I have two pages of notes on what God's law is. Your one scripture is a very small part of the whole of scripture about law.

Psalm 119:53 tells us: "Rage seizes me because of the wicked who reject your instruction'.

Do you really think Paul was telling you that David was all wet with what He said, or do you think David spoke what the Lord said? We will need to go to what law is no longer needed.

Paul and the Lord agree, and the Lord did not tell us to not listen to anything He had said. The Lord does not wipe out the Lord.

The way you go after those you disagree with concerning the law, I'd say that the 'rage' part is true.

What is "this" that you are referring to?

God put an end to the Law of Moses to prove that Salvation would come by His Promise and not by human works.
There is not one scripture in the entire bible saying that God has ever saved based on works. God did not put an end to this, it is an eternal truth that is part of the eternal God. If a human could be perfect they would be God, and humans have never been God.

God does not ever take back what is of God, God is eternal. Even the old covenant that is no longer of use to us was not "put an end to". It was so improved that the old covenant was obsolete when the law was put in our hearts and the law in stone was of no use to us any longer except to check the law in our hearts.

Telling of scripture is certainly not rage. Here is some more scripture from the bible. Scripture says it is love, not rage.

To follow the law brings comfort, happiness, hope, and joy. It keeps us from being ashamed, and it keeps us in contact with the Lord.

The law is better than gold, better than all riches. It leads us to wonderful things. It is our counselor and gives understanding and wisdom. It leads us to our salvation in Christ. It gives strength and instruction.

The law is the way of truth, to follow law is to follow God. The law is given to us out of God’s love.

It is wicked to reject God’s instructions to us. We can trust in the law and rely on it. When we are forgiven and our sins are cleansed, the law teaches us how to live in that righteousness.

The law is forever. It lights our path. Disobedience is a false way, keeping the law keeps sin from dominating us. Psalm 119.

9What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin. 10As it is written:

“There is no one righteous,

not even one.

11There is no one who understands,

no one who seeks God.

12All have turned away,

they have together become worthless;

there is no one who does good,

not even one.”

13“Their throats are open graves;

their tongues practice deceit.”

“The venom of vipers is on their lips.”

14“Their mouths are full

of cursing and bitterness.”

15“Their feet are swift to shed blood;

16ruin and misery lie in their wake,

17and the way of peace they have not known.”

18“There is no fear of God

before their eyes.”

19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin. Romans 3

No one is justified by works, as this scripture points out. Do you think that we should cancel any instructions from God (all instructions are law) because they will not justify us? It would be threatening God, saying if you won't save me when I obey you, then I won't obey you.

God put an end to the Law of Moses to prove that Salvation would come by His Promise and not by human works.
God gave the law to reveal the sin of the people but most of the ceremonial law points to the plan of salvation. The lamb, the day of atonement, the high priest and the sanctuary are all there to reveal how we are saved by Christ today.

Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Heb 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
Heb 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

If judgement is happening in heaven and we need an atonement (Jesus) for our sins today, What is defining sin?, What is holding us guilty if there is no law?
