I mean I was watching it live I saw it with my own two eyes it was pretty bad. Looking at what they went through on the video comparing it to Iraq's not a bad comparison. So my question is do you believe that all of these tapes and videos of what happened that day are fabricated?

in a crowd that size, you are going to have pockets of violence here and there.

so, along with those videos, have you seen the ones of the cops taking down barriers and waving protesters in?

the " rioters" walking around inside, in the area marked off for the public? most were even walking inside the guide ropes??

or the" traumatized" cops taking selfies with the protesters on the inside of the capital ??

those videos tell a story too..

I'm not defending this administration. I have no party affiliations. This conversation is about crimes that were committed on January 6th nothing else.
I started the thread man, don't tell what it is or isn't about.

I respect everyone's right to have an opinion but there used to be a time when we had a agreed upon reality and I miss it.
There was a time when Dems were moderate, that you could trust their intent even if you disagreed with their policies. Then the Clintons happened and I don't think the Dems have told the truth since.

I believe the BLM riots were awful but they don't have anything to do with the January 6th insurrection that was a different event. And as far as I'm concerned both of the riots and the insurrection were carried out by humans.
There were no weapons, how are you taking down or back a country with no weapons? And this has everything to do with the riots. The Dems not only did not stop the riots they encouraged them. The VP helped bail them out of jail and they were back on the streets within hours. The burned businesses flat to the gound, the tried to burn the church in DC to the ground , no harrowing stories from Capitol police about that though. They tore down statues. Do you think if Trump had won, like he was supposed to, that these wouldn't have been massives riots around the country?! That they would have tried to take him out? The Dems are utter hypocrites.

I'm definitely not a Democrat and I definitely did not vote for Biden. However I agree with our system of law and order and our democracy.
I agree that it was a bad choice for people to go in to the Capitol. But it's not like Dems haven't done the same. Utterly hypocritical.

Exactly, and so which do we believe. These people are being held with no charges while Dems try to drum up the most severe things they can come up with. And for their own, they bailed them out. I remember all over news forums when they had to take President Trump to safety all the Dems were laughing and calling him a coward when they were thowing batteries and frozen water bottles at the police. The were stopping vans in the streets and handing out weapons. But we're to believe that the people that came into the Capitol on Jan 6 was the same as Iraq? Gimme a break, I don't believe it for a second.

Nah, I just believe they were peaceful protests, just like the second "summer of love".

What is the country coming to? They had 6 months to prepare for this and they couldn't even get 3 believable actors?

I think Schiff might have been directing since he apparently had aspirations to get into directing or something at one time...looked it up...screenwriter apparently

Biden does a much better job when he is reading what he is given...you have to admire that smile, while he leans in and then whispers to the 'common man'.

Watch the testimony on mute. When you look at the faces you can tell how much emotion is really there. Do you see sadness, grief? Anyone, even someone not trained in reading language can detect emotion simply by looking at a person while they speak without listening to what they say.

Then the next thing you can do is imitate the body movements. Look down, refuse to look at someone, do not speak with any illustrators, read from a prepared statement and see what emotion you are feeling.
You got to be kidding me. Why detector tests earn permissible in court and they're more accurate than a hunch.

Even if a cop said it was okay to go up the capitol steps it still wouldn't be okay it's never been okay to go up those steps!

I think he was saying that Lie detector exams are not permissible as evidence in a court and this is true. Also what I said about watching the video with the sound muted is also not considered evidence however it is certainly admissible in court. You could show the video, you could question them on the video, you can mute it and show it. Not only so but once the video is admitted into evidence the jury can request it and watch it any way they wish.

I traveled, a lot. You get to be a pretty good judge of character after a while. A doctor told me once that I was big on non- verbal communication. He said "most people simply listen to what a person is saying, you don't. He told me it was a blessing and a curse. I was having some issues with stress. Pretty hard to change your personality though.

I don't find it stressful to watch what is going on, I find it enjoyable.

There are several reasons for this:

1. I am reading and praying over the Bible a lot during the entire pandemic and that has built up my faith.

2. I share it out on my blog and that speaking helps strengthen the faith.

3. When you share you get ridiculed, mocked, and insulted. Being vindicated is a nice feeling.

4. I am fully persuaded that the Lord is our salvation. Put your full trust in Him. Bank accounts are going to be robbed, retirement accounts are being robbed as we speak, houses will be robbed, "preppers" will realize the one thing they should be been doing to prep is to grab hold of the Lord and not let go.

5. But most importantly when you tell people what is going on too much we emphasize God's love and some take that to mean that there won't really be a judgement. They use the "God loves us" as the snooze button on the alarm clock that is telling them to wake up!

Yes sorry I meant that lie detector test are not permissible in court and they're more accurate than a hunch. You want me to trust your hunch that they're lying.

A lie detector test is simply a tool, in the right hands it is very useful, but not because it can "detect lies". The most reliable way to detect truth or deceptiveness is with a full suite of good questioning technique, paying attention to body language, behavior and micro expressions.

This is more than a hunch on my part. I teach Forensics in high school and I once sponsored a competition for the entire school, if someone could lie to our class and we weren't able to detect it I would pay them $500. The competition was set up so that we could videotape them, the first round they get $5 if they win, the second $50 and the third $500. Two people won $5, no one won any more than that.

I had trained my class in how to read these cues. The two girls that won the $5 we then studied their videos until everyone in the class was very clear on their tells and it was hilarious, when they came back for round 2 the class had them dead to rights.

So I have put my money where my mouth is. The problem is that although you can detect deception or truth you can't know why they are being deceptive or what the truth is.
