They see me as a garbled picture, a riddle in a riddle,
Or create an interpretation which is void of the middle.
No one understands me, no one has ever seen,
But I take solace in the fact that you do Elohim.
The auditorium's empty, my heart gives up the drum,
Every measure I pour out is avoided or shunned.
No one hears my voice, no one wants to hear my say,
But I take solace in the fact that you do Yahweh.

~Poet of Ephraim

My issues are with the first part, not the last.

I too have a compulsion to write, but little talent to go with it. I write anyway; probably because there is no choice. No one has seen most of my ramblings, yet I ramble anyway. There is something inside that requires both the act and the fruit, regardless of who reads.

More than that, you have a talent. Your words speak different messages to different circumstances. Many of us who try, envy that ability. Who was it (maybe you) who said a poet owns the words, but not the response? A lack of reply is no measure of value.

(OK, now the cat is out of the box, there is no longer doubt. The cheese has slipped off the cracker.)

That was a very thoughtful reply @Seeker47. Thank you for your words. I guess you're right when you say...

Alas, your replies do make me feel valued compared to the tume in which i wrote this one. So thank you again.

You must write. You have a way with words. Have you posted any poems on here recently though? I can't remember seeing any.

Keep at it, as it is likely there is something in there wanting to find it's proper expression, and what you see as failed attempts is actually the honing your craft, so that when life's circumstances break open the dam, you will be better prepared to pen it :)

You are welcome! I rambled for a long time not even knowing what I was trying to get at LOL... until it became imperative to express my brokenness regardless of how vulnerable I felt in so doing. I don't know if you have seen my poetry thread? It is linked in my siggy :)

If my writing (story telling) is on end, yours (deep and heartfelt) is on the opposite. It may take me a while to get my mind around your work.
