So the Revelation that Jesus is the one who saves and not me has comforted me in recent months. Because Jesus finished it for me I could be sure of my salvation because its on him. Well I went look up biblical signs (these in particular https://www.gotquestions.org/signs-saving-faith.html) that im saved and I honestly cant say I have many in common with them. At least I dont think I do 🤔 I'm uncertain simply put. Im now done with being sure it seems and im back to my old doubting self and once again nothing is certain. I honestly cant identify or at least dont I can identify with a majority of these. Is the simply truth that Jesus does the saving and its not by my works the answer? Because I felt I finally had the answer after all this time I thought now that Jesus did it for me im set and I believe in him im saved. But apparently im not...what more can i do to be saved!? Ive done everything even relying on Christs finished work but im still not saved?! Im growing very angry with myself and I honestly have no clue where to go from here as I have literally tried everything but give up all my possessions (is that the answer do I have to do that?) Im once again confused after a few months of finally being at a level of peace. I suppose this is what I get for being optimistic on this dumpster fire of a life 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I'm probably not the best person to respond to this. But here goes.
I find often times Christians have a very black and white view of things, even when it's not black and white. There's this idea that if you're a Christian you must immediately fit into this box of rules that prove you're saved.
This religious mentality disregards individuality. A person's life is a journey. Some parts are good, same bad. At some point you're strong, at others weak. But if a person is working at growth there should be a general incline in that growth that happens over time.
And when it comes to specifics not everyone will be equal. One person may struggle with lust, but not anger, while another struggles with anger and not lust. Their journeys will look different because of different struggles. But they are both working towards the same ultimate goal.
And neither is "better" than the other, they are just different.
So don't let someone build a room and say you must fit perfectly in this room or you aren't saved. Consider your journey, your desires, your goals. Have you seen growth? Do you work to grow? If you've got weaknesses in some areas, that's ok. The point is keep striving to grow.

Life isn't meant to be this smooth, easy breezy stroll. It's full of hills and valleys. Sometimes you'll sprint and other times crawl. That's normal.
So don't look at these lists as "you must be all these things now", but rather as goals you're working towards.

Yes perhaps that is the case. I just easily panicked because I was doing so well until I read this.

You've fallen for Satan's oldest and most effective trap. "Did God say?" Adam and Eve believed Satan's word. The rest is the mess we call history.

A farmer does not dig up a seed to see if it is growing. Have you ever had a wound with a scab over it? Have you ever picked at the scab and made it bleed? I have. All it does is delay the healing.

Quit looking at yourself at all. Keep focused on Lord Jesus, who He is and what He has done for you. It is finished. A done deal. You are saved on one basis, and that is what Lord Jesus has done for you. The Bible says that God does not play favourites. It does not matter how you feel or even how you behave. I had a drinking problem before I was born again. It took two years to be entirely free. I had many lapses and failures. It's not that easy to live in possibly the least Christian environment that the Western world provides. I was in the RAN (Australian Navy). I spent over 3 years on a ship. God's grace is sufficient.

Lord Jesus is now your life. You are born again of an imperishable seed. It can't die because it is of God. You can lose the feeling of being saved but feelings are unreliable. Truth is rock solid. Stick with it.

Spend your time talking to Lord Jesus. Don't go looking for problems. Let Lord Jesus show you what He wants to change. All you have to do is ask Him. Be assured of God's love for you. He sent Jesus to die for you. What greater love is there?

Do not try to change yourself. It won't work and all it will do is condemn you more. It is Lord Jesus' job to change us. And be patient with yourself.

How do I know this stuff? I've been through the mill, too many times, for 50 years. It's all in God's word. Read Romans 8 until it becomes so real to you that nothing can change your mind.

Hello Koji :) I took a look at the gotquestions page you inked to, and looking at it with you in mind, I was able to answer a number of indications in the positive for you. For instance, it says: the Bible encourages us to examine ourselves to see if we are truly “in the faith” and I see you doing that on a regular basis. You enjoy fellowship with other believers. Not all of them at all times, but who does? You admit and confess your sins. Your life indicates you love God rather than the world. You are desirous of doing what is right, and to maintain a pure life. You demonstrate love for others. Failing in any one of these from time to time is normal, and I realize you are very hard on yourself, suffer panic attacks, and are also very sensitive to others. You are willing to grow. You seek to serve God using the gifts He has blessed you with, and are willing to cull those elements from your expression of those gifts which you do not see as being positive :)

I don't know of another user on this site who puts so much time and attention into making sure they're doing right and living right by God. So don't worry.

Hear this good news, and the invitation of our Triune God, to sinners like us:
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10.9-11 Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen.
