Strange Animal Behavior!

This season in my State and around the Northeast birds are dying. In my Town people are finding dead birds on their property. West Nile has been ruled out.

This month Canada reporting Strange Coyote behavior.

Two separate cases but what alarms me is that in these cases something neurological is going wrong.. I know it might sound like a good Sci-Fi movie but this past year with Covid it is concerning.

What are anyone's thoughts?

Animals are being displaced by growing human development projects overcoming their home territory and hunting ground.

If a coyote has a den with pups, they as well as certain birds will defend their pups, baby birds, territory.

Some birds will play act injured in this respect.
The predator typically will follow the bird as it leads them away from the nest.

If that isn't it, I'd wonder about the water source in the area.

In the states there have been found large amounts, any amount is too large imo, of prescription drug chemicals in municipal water supplies.

Oddly enough rather than discarding in the trash, it seems there are people who flush outdated prescription drugs, or those drugs they no longer need.

If there is a sewer runoff system near those areas where these odd animal behaviors are occuring, that might explain it.

It's summer. Thirsty coyote and birds go to drink contaminated water and act out under the influence.
