This might be a little decieving

Jesus was sent by the father he did not send himself

Jesus also had to return to the fat her so the father could send the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not go back to himself so he could once again send himself.
Sorry bro but cannot help myself here.

Who/what is the fat her?

postman you didn't think this through one could be tempted by chocolate cake...:) God the father cannot b tempted. but Jesus was a man in every way yet without sin.
let's use God's definition of "temptation"

God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
(James 1:13-14)
do you believe Jesus is full of lust in His heart?
do you believe Jesus is gluttonous in His heart?
do you believe Jesus is vain in His heart?
do you believe Jesus is murderous in His heart?
do you believe Jesus is a liar in His heart?
do you believe Jesus is covetous in His heart?
do you believe Jesus is full of avarice in His heart?

Christ was tested in every way, yet without sin
He is God: He cannot be tempted, because in Him is no sin.

1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.2After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.

I mean, I don’t know why you’re wanting to die on this hill but…it seems pretty clear.
Notice He was also hungry, something God would never be. This is the weakness (not sin) of His flesh.

Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Command the children of Israel, and say to them,

‘My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me,
you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time.’"
(Numbers 28:1-2)
what does this mean?
why does God call our offerings and supplications "My food" ?

why does God say "I thirst" on the cross?

why does God be sure to have Matthew write that He was hungry?

is the scripture deep in meaning, or full of shallow unnecessary details?
is it spiritually or is it carnally discerned?

If you read the books of John crazy,,, neither can we.And yet one of those books says: He that says he that he has no sin is a liar.Yes his flesh was tempted..but his spirit was not.

He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin
(1 John 3:5)
re-read James 1:13 -14 and ask why it is impossible for God to be tempted?

every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed

when John says that anyone who says they have no sin is a liar, is John talking about God???
is John saying that God has sin, otherwise God is a liar? is John saying that Jesus has sin in His flesh???

you've got John contradicting himself because you are trying to cram lust into Christ's heart.
so which one of us is 'reading crazy' ??
you would rather have a Savior full of sin in His heart ((such that there is no salvation at all!)) than accept there has been a mistranslation?

who is "reading crazy" ? ((post #68))

i have been very clear:
  • temptation is the arousal of sin inside a person ((James 1))
  • sin in ones heart/flesh is still sin even if it isn't expressed ((Matthew 5))
  • God cannot be tempted ((James 1)) & Christ is God ((Zechariah 12))
  • there is no sin in Christ, none at all, not even a little bit ((1 John 3))
  • → Christ is not 'tempted' but 'tested/tried/proven' and found to be without sin ((Hebrews 4, Strong's 3985))

that's what my position is. it's based on scripture and fear of the LORD.
i have what's called in theology "
the high view" of Christ -- the "impeccable" view.

you on the other hand? you have poop and flies. ((sic))
put your poop & flies next to my God & His Word; see who wins, eh?

No one is saying He had sin. You inserted that to make your point.

You had some good thoughts up to here. I've quoted the above post for posterity.
I won't see your replies from now on. You've been ignored.

So many believers are insecure they start resorting to childishness.

((not that you are listening anymore))

James shows us that temptation is the arousal of sin pre-existing in the heart/flesh.
It is an inescapable conclusion therefore according to scripture, by God's own definition, the only way Jesus can be "tempted" is if Christ has sin in Himself to be aroused or subject to arousal.

So - I fully understand that you have not thought you position through and don't know the scripture. So I say that 'you put sin in Christ' because it is the clear implication of your false, ill-considered position.
Not that you have yet put enough thought into this to realize what your teaching results in. But that you'd better put some thought into what you are saying because this is the implication according to the Bible.

Christ is God. God cannot be tempted. Christ cannot be tempted. Jesus was "tested/tried" in all things yet with no sin being found in Him. That is %100 different than us. He is fully human, completely unfallen human. We are fallen; He never fails, He cannot fail.
