The soldiers and armor

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

the battle plan and result

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

I think we need to be aware there is an ongoing war between demons and God. Matthew 10:34 Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.

Christ asks us to look at the cost of following Him, and the cost is great. We gain eternal life, but we are to give up every bit of the world, even our mothers and fathers, for Christ. Earthly nations ask men to give up their life for their country in times of war. God is at war with demons, if we joint the Lord we join in this war, putting on the whole armor of God.

Mark 10:29 Truly I tell you,”Jesus replied, “ no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for My sake and for the gospel 30will fail to receive a hundredfold in the present age—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and fields, along with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.…

yes I think Christ has already won the war in heaven and Satan was cast out into earth where we are and so we receive the Holy Spirit to equip us to fight the good fight in the war and overcome as has been provided for us

our place is like you are saying turn from the worldly things and be walking in Gods spirit abiding in Christ and the gospel

truly if we are diligent seeking the lord we are walking by faith that originates from believing the gospel as we walk in Christ the world isn’t going to have the same appeal towards us , but also will begin to hate us ( the world ) I mean

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
