How can we honor the parents?

1 – Acquiring wisdom:

• Pro 15:20 -> “A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.”.
• Pro 29:3 -> “Whoever loves wisdom rejoices his father; but a companion of harlots wastes wealth.”.
• Pro 10:1 -> “The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son is the sorrow of his mother.”.

2 – Apprizing the parents and Jesus’ teachings in their life:

• Pro 30:17 -> “The eye that mocks at his father and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.”.
• Lev 19:3 -> “You shall each man revere his mother and his father, and keep My sabbaths. I am Jehovah your God.”.

3 – Speaking right things:

• Pro 23:15,16 -> “My son, if your heart is wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. Yea, my heart shall rejoice when your lips speak right things.”.

4 – Listening to the parents, even when they get old:

• Pro 23:22 -> “Listen to your father who sired you, and do not despise your mother when she is old”.

5 – Serving Jesus together with the parents:

• Php 2:22 -> “But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.”

If they don’t obey the gospel, may they be gained without words (1Cor 7:12-14).

So, have a grandiose day living a life worthy of being imitated by your children and seeking in Christ that they can have thoughts and feelings which can serve of good inspiration.
