Have you heard of Sophia, the AI robot who is a legal citizen of Saudia Arabia? I was reading this weird article about how this robot wants to have a robot baby and how she wants "to see families made up of androids" and then I read this:

"In early 2021, the Hanson Robotics company announced that they would start the production of hundreds of robots with Artificial Intelligence like Sophia, to help fight Covid-19."

https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/390238

And all I can think is...how?? How will robots "fight Covid"? Will they take over for all the nurses and teachers that had to quit working or take the jab? Or is something more sinister being planned out here??

Robots are good when controlled by people. Maybe they could be used to clean and disinfect COVID infected areas such as hospital wards. Robots are not going to teach anyone or tend to the sick. Not yet, anyway.

I'll go with replace workers who refuse to be vaccinated.

No industries deserve to be regulated as hard as robotics and tech, but they are the ones with free rein.

I believe all of the health-related industries should probably be regulated the most... ;)

Healthcare is about the preservation of life.

This Robot/AI stuff is about the very nature of life and humanity.

So, which is it...

1) You believe that no one (including yourself) has the right to decide what may be injected into their body.

2) You believe everyone has the right to decide what may be injected into their body - but, you don't believe anyone who trusts God and their God-given immune system first-and-foremost ahead of and above other available options should be able to hold a position of employment (self- or otherwise).

I understand what you are saying - trying to drive humanity into a 'borg'-like existance is a serious thing - just understand what I am saying...

"Modern healthcare is not about the preservation of life."

It most certainly is not about good health.

If it was, I would probably think differently about it. ;)

Healthcare should be about [real, actual] good health.

And, except for a small amount of a certain 'holistic' type of healthcare, none exists today that is truly interested in anyone's [real, actual] good health.

They have already predicted that 80% of the jobs can be eliminated or replaced with AI and robots over the next decade. We have robot nurses for in home care, why couldn't you have those in hospitals. They could go from room to room and check vital signs. My grocery store has a machine that is constantly mopping the floor, why couldn't you have that in a hospital? AI uses Watson to diagnose diseases and prescribe treatment. Why couldn't you have a robot that does that? Already robots are used for many surgeries. I would think that automation has already had a huge impact in hospitals and could lower health care costs going forward.

Suppose for a minute they already have the technology to replace 20% of the hospital staff but instead of doing it directly you force 20% to quit because of the vaccine mandate, create a crisis, and then Ta Da! You have the solution! It's the old create a crisis to sell your solution.

Of course that in turn creates a new problem, what to do with all the unemployed workers replaced by machines, well then you see the wisdom in the vaccine mandates, problem solved, but that will be the final solution.

But then you say they still need 20% people, you have them, all those that refused to get the vaccine. But they are more submissive now after a few years of no job.

Speaking of 'borgs...if Elon Musk has his way with those "brain chips", there very well may be a culture of people assimilated into a cyborg sort of life. Or does it take more tech in the body than a computer chip to be considered a cyborg?

General Rule - "any" is too much...

The fact that someone would want to be a part of that --- tells me something has already gone wrong in their brain/mind.

"Just sayin'..."

I answered the question "How will robots be used to combat covid19? (IMHO) They will be used to replace those who lose their job because they don't get vaccinated.

As for your points, it's a personal choice and I'm responsible for my own actions.

I agree, except that after you replace those who didn't get the shot why not replace those who did as well? I expect the crisis over people leaving will give them the excuse to roll out robots far and wide, and once that is done, just replace workers. If I can replace one cashier I can replace them all, replace one janitor you can replace them all, replace one orderly you can replace them all, etc., etc.

The goal is to keep world population at 500 million, the other 7 billion are just "useless eaters" in their eyes.

For example we have people flying drones where the drone is in the Middle East while the pilot is in Virginia. Why couldn't they do that with all airplanes? Second, big data teaches AI how to fly with all those remote sessions so that the drones can become autonomous. So the next step is to have one pilot overseeing 4 flights while the drones are flying autonomously and just step in during landing and in an emergency.

The same with cars and trucks and ships.

AI, Robotics, and other advances in technology (including things that we haven't dreamed of today) are what the future holds. Should the Lord tarry (a real possibility), and the world continues to exist for another millennium, how do we keep God relevant?

I guess I misunderstood the intent of your statement. Thanks for clearing that up.

I get technology can be helpful. I mean, it was through technology that I met my husband. But sometimes I wish a giant solar flare would crash everything and force us all to really LIVE. If people had to chop wood to stay warm or work a garden to eat , etc etc they'd have less time to stew and whine about SJW stuff.

I'm eighty years old. Chopping wood and tending a garden are beyond my physical abilities. God has blessed me with an income sufficient to provide for my needs today.

We (the Christian churches) have the same challenge today that we had yesterday. We have to keep God's word relevant to the people. How?

Maybe the robots are cages to house the brains of Commies whose bodies were disabled by the vaxx?
