You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt. -Daniel Hannan

I don't know about you, but this economy is hurting. I went from surviving to now trying to stay above water. Our van was repoed last night, so we hope to get that back by Friday.

Even had a scam artist not want to give me the time of day (funny only because I believe that keeping the joy of the Lord is healthier for the family versus the anxiety and pain of troubles). As a Christian, I believe in carrying each other's burdens; we must be transparent in life.

Galatians 6:2-3
New International Version
2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.

A transparency to defeat the stigma that comes with the shame and fear of being genuinely human who doesn't have it all together all of the time. Who struggles like everyone else. Who must learn, adapt, and be honest when mistakes are made.

Your burdens are not too heavy for others who genuinely care. Your burdens are never too heavy for God. Nail them to the cross, and the peace of God will calm the mind and give you the clarity to see your way through the problem. Your world may feel as if it is up in flames and the smoke is so dark you can't see your way out, but in the moment of peace, you begin to see a light vaguely shining through the darkness. The light is your way out, crawl, walk, or run towards it if you can. Keep your eyes focused on where you need to go, or else the fire may consume you.

If we are not around people who we feel can be trusted with our burdens, then we are missing one of the greatest joys in life. If we are not inviting or trustworthy for others to share their burdens, we are again missing one of the greatest joys in life. We are missing opportunities for God to work through others or for God to work through you.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Where the Lord's presence is, their is unity.

Let us walk in unity so that we may also gain liberty from the burdens of life. Amen!

I agree but you see so little of this today.
There was a time in our church family that we knew people more intimately.
No so today! Its all about ME and caring has waxed cold BC people are forgetting Jesus is love!

Our Lord knows who we are what we think and how we behave. Nothing is hidden from him.

We are to bear one another's burdens to keep us encouraged not to fall into bitterness and resentment.

I pledge to help hold your family up. We are all struggling and your burden's not to heavy.

Prayer changes the heart of God and he is our rescuer!

Furthermore today is the only day we are promised but he knows the number of hairs on our heads!

What an AWESOME God we serve.
Praying.

Yes, selfish desires have always been a plague for humanity. Especially when it is promoted in a society. What was once a society of charity is now a society of social welfare, what was once a society of giving is now the society of taking. Even worse it is expected to be given without working towards it. Instant gratification has surpassed the concept of save and work to promote liberty.

Someone who helps carry my burden gives me the opportunity to later help carry their burden.

God is indeed awesome! Amen.

Some things I have learned in life, when I was struggling with depression, nobody wanted to know, and my family were ashamed of me, so they would lie and say that things were alright. But they were not.

I think its better to be honest and say things are hard right now than to fake smile, because then you can get help. But getting help was looked on as bad, because charity is seen is bad. For example, when i had no job you can go on the benefit, but that was seen as somehow failure and you were sponging.

But actually I was so grateful that I had some income while I was looking for work, which took a long time, rather than say...walking the street and homeless, which is reality for many women, and also those far too proud to accept help. Even if it is from the govt. The govt isnt always the bad guy.

Anyway now that I have a job Im not going to refuse to pay the taxes that are to keep others (who for whatever reason, are unable to work) from falling through the net. I used to hear from christians or read that even christians would fudge their taxes and how much they hated paying tax when they had a legit job. I was like why! Taxes are used to fund social welfare! We wouldnt even have free hospitals and schools and roads and sewerage and rubbish collection if nobody paid tax... (besides, if you buy anything retail, you automatically pay goods and services tax every time you shop)

There should never be a stigma on the people who are struggling. We need to make people feel comfortable to ask for help. Not ashamed.

The govt isnt always the bad guy.
True. It is also rarely the good guy. Within boundaries and a moral backbone can it only be good.

Render to Ceasar what is Ceasars. For Christians in America the Ceasar is the Constitution which allows Congress to raise taxes and allows the government to raise taxes for things like roadways and the postal service. In 2021 the government due to poor financing has to keep raising taxes to pay on the debt. This has hurt the low to middle class as the taxes have been largely on the rich which affects jobs and wages as the rich control many of the businesses.

So for us, the government is stealing from Ceasar to tax on things that the people did not give power through the Constitution.

They misinterpreted the general welfare clause to expand socialism.

Our government healthcare is awful when compared to private because of government corruption, lack of competition, and they decide what is worth medical attention.

If government would promote private healthcare and none profit organizations that have free clinics then we would see a much better welfare system.

A nation runs on taxes but what our government does with those taxes should be what is best for the people.

(besides, if you buy anything retail, you automatically pay goods and services tax every time you shop)
Yes, due to greed, corruption, and debt we see taxes on taxes on taxes while our politicians are living in multiple homes and the average citizen despite their promises struggling to buy food.

well you live in US If you dont really like your govt you can always emigrate to another country if you REALLY wanted, since its so corrupt and nothing you do will change anything even if you vote for the either party. . Its not like you have no options.....

Get asylum and refugee status if your country starts having a war...although, you country tends to invade others even when. its at war with itself. So some may not accept you. But if you are a refugee, any country at peace is a thousnad times better than living in a war zone.

Or we can always do what the Lord asks us to do, which is our first responsibility and expectation if we are truly His.
Relationship, not religion.
Religion killed Jesus.

hmm looks like what happens in the US happens everywhere though whats new. People in power mishandle govt funds.

Roads and postal services? seriously, you can build hepas of roads and it will just make things more congested. People fly around the world more these days. They dont need MORE roads, esp in cities.

Also, online, email and telecommunications, the postal system needs a rethink because people arent going to send a letter that is so expensive to post when they can send an email for nothing.

Money needs to be spent on healthcare and education, as that will helps the most PEOPLE, especially the children and elderly who need it most.

anyway...

He told us, and is showing us what is to be in these last of the last days.
He is coming for those who are looking up in awareness and anticipation
of our redemption drawing nigh.

Going back to topic
If we find ourselves struggling, we take it to the Lord in prayer before we even talk about it to anyone else. This is where a believer has the advantage over someone who just goes to church expecting everyone else to help them. We then trust that God will provide....and He will show us the miracle.

Like the widow with the empty jars she filled with oil and then they didnt run out. Smetimes God will show us we can make do with what we already have (or never knew we had) . Like the five loaves and two fishes making a feast for over 5000 people, with leftovers!

Or, if we did have to pay a surprise tribute tax, Jesus just told Peter to catch a fish and inside was a coin...

That IS the topic, our vital, personnel, one on one relationship with our lord and Savior comes before the carnal concerns and cares, of course there are those living outside His will and direction who are struggling, and these times are producing more, the good (His Own) are getting better, the others are being troubled.
