Do you like to make the best deal?

Be careful!!!

• Pro 16:11 -> “A just balance and scales are the LORD's; all the weights in the bag are his work.”.

Did you pay attention to how many excerpts the Creator wrote showing how much He hates false balance?

• Pro 11:1 -> “A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.”.
• Pro 20:10 -> “Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the LORD.”.
• Pro 20:23 -> “Unequal weights are an abomination to the LORD, and false scales are not good.”.

And the reason is that, who makes use of false balances loves the oppression:

• Hos 12:7 -> “A merchant, in whose hands are false balances, he loves to oppress.”.

Hence the Creator acts so severely with this kind of people:

• Mic 6:10,11 -> “Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed? Shall I acquit the man with wicked scales and with a bag of deceitful weights?”.
• Amo 8:5,6 -> “saying, “When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great and deal deceitfully with false balances, that we may buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals and sell the chaff of the wheat?””.

In virtue of this, the Creator enjoins us:

• Lev 19:35,36 -> “You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measures of length or weight or quantity. You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.”.
• Deu 25:13-15 -> “You shall not have in your bag two kinds of weights, a large and a small. You shall not have in your house two kinds of measures, a large and a small. A full and fair weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”.
• Eze 45:9,10 -> “Thus says the Lord GOD: Enough, O princes of Israel! Put away violence and oppression, and execute justice and righteousness. Cease your evictions of my people, declares the Lord GOD. “You shall have just balances, a just ephah, and a just bath.”.

In other words:

• When you go to sell something, don’t charge much; recollect that the Creator hates the exaggerated profit (Eze 18:13).
• When you go to buy something, don’t ask for discount if you see that the person is poor and depend on this for living. Don’t take advantage of their calamity (see Obadiah 13).

So, have a good day granting to everyone what is owed to them (Prov 3:27). Recall of the fish which could have died if it doesn’t have gave up of the shekel that was in its mouth (Mat 17:27).
