All this talk about law and works lately. I saw something on facebook that I just had to share. Because I think if moses taught us anything, this was the most important message. If we just look at this, I think it would answer so many questions. Remember, the day of atonement pretty much had the same message

1 priest. Slaughters one lamb without spot. For the sin of everyone. God did not look at the person or how worthy they were. He looked at the blood of the innocent.

If we would just look to this. I think a lot of these discussions would end.. Because we could all understand the price of our salvation and what the law truly taught us.

Is funny how posts on law get everyones attention.

Yet posts on the true nature of Gods mercy towards mankind gets hardly even a look.

Yes, PTL for the blood of Jesus, who takes away our sins at repentance.

By society's standards of worthiness, the homeless,
the prostitute, the alcoholic, drug abuser, the murderer, even the worst of the worst a child abuser can pass through this blood and be clean.

For God said come and let us reason together though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as wool!

AMEN!

The sad pet is society would say they are not like those “sinners”. And judge them to hell while praising God that they personally are not like that sinner and ignoring the fact when God looks at them he sees them just as guilty

You said the nasty “C” word. Lol

It’s sad how satan has done to the gentile church what he did to the Jewish church. If the gentile church dies
It wake up soon it will fall away

Then again. That would Mean Christ is about to take over and set us all straight as he begins his rule

It has taken many many of my 40+ years not to look at the sinner and judge.

The church I was a part of was very strict in outward appearances. ( not so much today) we had it drilled into us about the outside of the cup.

It took God teaching me over 20 yrs to see the captivity of sin and he gave me a compassionate heart for the bound.

If He can cover me with his blood, who in my eyes was the worst of sinners who am I to say what's in ones heart.

I am so very very humbled that Jesus loved me enough to say " yes Father for her sins I will go" His blood was shed for me and as many as WILL COME!

I had the same issue. A legalistic mindset. Not so much a legalistic gospel. But legalistic thinking.

Instead of coming along side a sinner and trying to help find the root cause. They instead judged them Claim they could not be saved, if they were saved they would not do such sins. All the while ignoring their own sins and acknowledging that to a Holy God they are just as evil.

I saw more people fall in that church, even the pastor. who left his wife and 8 kids to run off with one of the deacons wife.

We had to change the name of the church after that and lost almost 100 Members.

Legalism is dangerous, Not only if it is a legalistic gospel. which may deceive people into thinking they are saved. But internal legalism in the church. which convinces people that are better than they are.
