Frank...The Gargoyle.

Ok...
A lady living in a house had a heavy gargoyle out on her porch...since she wanted to celebrate Christmas she put a Santa hat on it and called it a day...she didn't have the strength to move it nor a place to put it.
So that was her choice...

However...
A neighbor complained in a letter expressing in no uncertain terms about how unchristian this was and children getting scared of the gargoyle. Going totally "Karen".

However...Frank has now raised all kinds of money for charity....

I would love to see a replica of the initial note the neighbor sent her. I read the whole article hoping they would post it verbatim...

Second reaction: What? The neighbor didn't specifically object to the TREE?! This saga is not complete without a mention of tree worship.

The little guy perched on the porch light is the best part. Holding a liquor bottle with a long tube for the... skeleton to chug. Great. Now there will be booze all over the floor.

Question: What did the skeleton say to the bartender?
Answer: "Hey barkeep, gimme a beer and a mop."

Basically she went all "Holier than thou" about it all.

Yeah but in such situations I'm always curious about the exact wording of the offendingly offended letter. The devil is in the details y'know. It tells a lot about the person who sent it.

can someone tells me what 'being a Karen' is cos I know several ladies called Karen...from what I gather its not a nice thing to say about someone though all the Karens I actually know are tender-hearted.

I wonder why nobody says they are 'being a Jesus' surely thats a good thing
or being santa....santa is just another word for saint.

Being a saint is a good thing I'd rather be a saint than a sinner.

Maybe that gargoyle has converted. I see so any christmas pics of cute puppy dogs and kittens wearing santa hats and nobody complains about them but I supoose if something not so cute like a gargoyle wears one people just want to complain.

I dont know what to say...she just berated me when I said I got a booster shot and she said I would make the prime minister happy

Then she went on a HUGE rant. At first thought she was just being fearful and picky about it but then she went off at me. caliming I was paranoid and she started swearing. And started insulting MY PARENTS

I am like. huh.

I just shut her up by saying well, Ive got other things to deal with like cancer in my family dont need her mocking that I choose to be vaxed plus I was not forced.

I felt like telling her to get a grip just cos she thinks some govt conspiracy all the time. Or scared of needles I dunno.

you know I would much rather have free dental care but you take a free vaccination when you can right.

its like people mocking free school lunches. I would rather have the free school lunches (which are not junk) than watch children at school starve and not learn simply cos they are hungry.

sorry had to let it out. Pray for her . Maybe I subconciously wanted to tell her about the booster shot just to see if shed react and complain when I have never hated on her or mocked her on any issue she felt strongly about. None of my unvaccinated friends were like that. And I let them know so they'd feel safe around me when I visited.
