Amen

When he came he saw the blood. Not the worthiness of the people in the house

In the law he saw the blood. Not the tablets of stone and proofs of guilt inside the ark. Which made everyone guilty. It was nit their worthiness ir good deeds which he saw
The blood does not only justify a man (as per Romans 5:9)...it also sanctifies him (Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29) and cleanses him from all sin (1 John 1:7).

Did I read him right that he would use a whip to force people to Christ?

Even Jesus came not to judge but to save

Jesus came not to whip people to
Make them believe. But to heal them from their unbelief

The pride of some people thinking they are like God.
Some ignoring of me that you are doing.

Hi!

YES!!!
100%

God Bless!
Why then, did Jesus rebuke the scribes and Pharisees for their hypocrisy?

Did He do that, knowing that it could bear no fruit in their lives?

Because no one can not be a hypocrite but Him?

What was the point to His statement in rebuking them for their hypocrisy?

If it could not have the effect of removing their hypocrisy, then Jesus was just spinning His wheels.

See 1 Corinthians 13:8a.

the only people that Jesus used a whip on were the money changers at the Temple.

who did they work for? the religious leaders....
Jesus uses a whip on every son that He receives (Hebrews 12:6).

why does Moses command opposite things from Jesus is my point ? The law is what’s written in Moses book not part of it or some but all

so Moses commanded many things to the children of Israel and Jesus commands different opposite things how do you square that part ? Moses taught one thing and Jesus taught a contrary thing ?

why is it opposite ?

Moses endorsed divorce if you are unhappy in marriage and endorses remarriage to others Jesus doesn’t teach that but says there’s only one reason for divorce and re marriage is forbidden

how do you square the opposite nature of what Moses taught and what Jesus taught ? Why are the teachings different if they aren’t ?
I already answered these questions.

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬

Jesus didn’t re teach the law he preached the gospel

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the law came through Moses Jesus preached the gospel

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

really no matter how hard one tries the law and gospel cannot be made to fit together they are seperate opposite covenants one does this it imputes sin and calls for death
The law and the gospel go together.

When a person truly receives the gospel, the law is written on his heart and mind (Hebres 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 John 2:3-6, 1 Corinthians 9:21).

Jesus didn’t follow any of those things he saved people from it like this woman

“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus of course saved the woman turning thier judgement back on them not keeping Moses commandment of death sentence.
The law required that two or three witnesses be present in order to condemn the woman to death. Jesus orchestrated that situation so that they could not find even two witnesses. So, Jesus did not violate the law when He had mercy on the woman.

I'm also not trying to use the law as a hypocrite against Christians.

Something to keep in mind.
amen the law has only one purpose

“Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And it creates this spirit in believers

“Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭31:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

those of the law will always see things this way

“And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Or another subject

“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law is an accusation against all
People for every sin they have ever done and remote nothing , forgives nothing

“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s meant to hold every sin against the sinner and condemn them to death for thier sins it is by its structure only an accusation for one to accuse another of what it contains

but the gospel saves those sinners condemned by the law and teaches them righteousness and peace and. Ot accusing people and seeing them through a law of sin and death but through a gospel of salvation and having sins remitted

I think often when we can’t see the difference it’s because we haven’t actually taken time to read the law it’s opposite

if I say somethings blue and you say it’s orange we aren’t speaking the same word it’s contrary. Get divorced and remarry is contrary to don’t get divorced and remarry show mercy to mothers is opposite of don’t show any pity or mercy punish the sinner

keep your vows to God is different than don’t make vows to God

how or why is Moses word contrary from Christs ? Isn’t it because there is a new covenant not according to the old
Covenant ? Seems like the New Testament is what the law and prophets were foretelling would
One day come
Again, the moral law is different from the civil law.

Civil law has to be a certain way because men's hearts are hardened to what they are supposed to do; and the civil law has to take that into account.

The moral law applies to the individual regardless of consequences in the civil law. It therefore applies to the moral compass ogf the individual; whereas the civil law applies to the moral compass of the nation. Since individuals can be more righteous than the nation surrounding them, the moral law, which applies to individuals, can be more demanding than the civil law which applies to many people.

it’s not what it says actually it says anyone whomis of the works proscribed but law is under the curse in other words Christians who try to keep Israel’s covenant

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when one becomes obliged to the law it means this

“For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:3-4‬ ‭

do You notice Paul keeps bringing this up ? About having to keep everything written in Moses book ?

And James

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When a Christian thinks they belong to Moses law they are taking on the obligations in it.

What your missing I think is that of a person just forgets the law of Moses and starts to believe the gospel and follow
Christs word the commandments become irrelevant

if o don’t allow lust in my heart ring told about not committing adultery becomes irrelevant if I eliminate hate , greed , pride like Jesus teaches I will never have any motive to cheat and kill
And lie ect

if we follow the spirit Christ preached Moses law of sin and death becomes a mute point irrelevant and for dead men
Eliminating lust in the heart is obedience to the law as Jesus re-defined it.

I would just encourage you, also, to memorize James 1:25.

I think that the law as it is written on the heart and mind of the New Covenant believer does not contain within it all of the penalties that were demanded by the civil law of Moses.

It is purely the morality of the moral tenets of the law that is written on the hearts and minds of New Covenant believers (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 John 2:3-6, 1 Corinthians 9:21).

It is not the law that brings death, but sin, taking occasion by the commandment, is what produces death (Romans 7:7-13).
There is no sin without the law the law is what gives the knowledge of it and there is no death without sin

“The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:56‬ ‭KJV‬‬

once a person dies the law has concluded

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭

“Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

…Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:1, 4-6‬ ‭

your promoting a sinners law meant to make thier sins known and show them death is the result of sin it can’t give this

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s not Moses word his word is death for sin , Christs is life by the spirit of a person gets born again and believes the gospel the law has crumbled away for them and they reside in the word of Christ wuote contrary to
What Moses taught but many aren’t willing to accept it many religious Jews sure rejected the messiah and his word and couldn’t let go Of Moses law also because they were blinded by it

“And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What one needs to look for in the law is what Moses said was going to happen later that’s the witness of Christ in it and it’s value in him

Stuff like this

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:18-19‬ ‭

that’s Moses speaking of Jesus who would come

“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:22-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

sort of who’s word isn’t a real
Issue Moses word added because of sin , was temporary until Christ came preaching the gospel

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions,

till the seed should come to whom the promise was made;

and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:

Moses law was always meant to last until this time was fulfilled

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

see how even Moses in the law said Christ would come and preach the word of God ? Even Moses understood his words were temporary until Christ came

You don't keep the Law. Why are you preaching it?
Because Christ preached it. Even in my life in the kingdom of the world there is law to keep. I always use the best most successful model as my guide in anything I attempt. As a Christian, I use Christ as my model. Christ asks me to try to be perfection, but tells me repentance is sufficient.

The law doesn't any longer condemn the believer in Christ; while we are still obedient to it as believers.

This is the reality; that the law is written on the heart and mind of the New Covenant believer (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 john 2:3-6, 1 Corinthians 9:21)..

There is righteousness that is DESCRIBED by the Law.

But if it was able to be achieved then there would be no need for the Sacrifice of Christ.

We could all just be varying degrees of Pharisees.

Which, I think if we were honest, is what we truly desire.
There is righteousness in keeping the Law or this would not be written in scripture!

Deut. 6:25

"And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us."

The problem with keeping the Law is that fallen man cannot keep it! As you said, if it were possible we would be judged on whether we did or not and there would be no need for Christ to have sacrificed Himself.

So how did they obey God in keeping these commandments? They did it the exact same way we do it today! By faith in Jesus Christ!

They didn't know His name was Jesus, they didn't know when He was coming, but they knew the innocent animal being killed for their sins represented the coming Messiah. How do I know they knew? Because we know that Moses knew and no doubt Moses told them.

Moses wrote of Abraham, "and he (Abraham) believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness." This is "justification by faith in Jesus Christ" that Paul wrote of in his epistles. Moses knew this, "justification by faith" some 1500 years before Paul wrote it for us!

The people under the Law at the time of Moses life knew exactly what the Sacrificial System meant. As the centuries passed by, the Jews lost their way with the Law and abused it, no longer understanding what their fathers before them knew.

By the time of Christ the religious leaders of Israel had turned the 10 Commandments into over 600 commandments. Worshiping the Law and making it their God rather than the Saviour represented in the Sacrificial System who would pay the sin debt for man.

the law required perfection
as James said if we keep the whole law yet stumble in one point we are guilty
you water down the law and Gods standard of of righteousness
