Why do people have so difficult in seeking Jesus?

• Zephaniah 2:11 -> “The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.”.

Why does everyone, from his place, only worship the Creator after all the gods have been destroyed? In other words: why most of the people only seek Jesus if there isn’t any other option?

Why did the Creator need to destroy so many people (Philistia, Ammon, Moab, Ethiopia, Assyria) so that Israel could worship Him?

In Ezekiel 16 we can see with how many people Israel spiritually prostituted:

• Ezekiel 16:29,30 -> “Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith. How weak is thine heart, saith the LORD GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;”.

Hence Jeremiah said:

• Jeremiah 23:15 -> “Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.”.

The interesting is that Israel didn’t make only political alliances; they prostitute with their gods.

And what about us? Are we faithful to Jesus and His word, or are we prostituting His word and adopting the costumes of the unbelievers (for instance, their way of talking, clothing, walking, behaving, etc.) in order to get well with them?

Recall the order of the Creator:

• Deuteronomy 12:30,31 -> “ Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.”.

We can’t christianize what is worldly. We can’t worship the Creator at the same way that the heathen serve their gods (namely, money, delights of the flesh, power, etc.). The worship of the Creator ought to be holy, pure, unique.

So, have a good day praising and worshipping the Creator pursuant to what Jesus reveals to you (or better, letting Jesus live in you to glorify His name – Gal 2:20).

Some people are simply anti christ, and that's totally fine. We are not here to judge people on there beliefs. Everyone is entitle to there own beliefs without being attacked. My view on it is that the people who have a hard time seeking Jesus are the ones who have a lot of unanswered questions about Jesus, and once again that's totally fine. I don't think I can believe in something that I don't fully understand either, so I understand they're way of thinking when it comes to there beliefs in Jesus.
