Well, you certainly said a mouthful, didn't you?
I asked you 3 questions you did not answer.
And a Bible verse you did not answer either.
Yet you managed to put together about a 300 word rant on how bad Joel Osteen is without ever watching one of his services.

I'm currently reading a book by Charles R. Swindoll called "Growing deep in the Christian life", written in 1986.
After 5 chapters (very small print and not so easy to grasp), he sounds a lot like Joel Osteen.
Not on everything but on some things.
And enough to know I'm following the right man and church.

Here's the real deal.
Joel Osteen made the mistake (not really, he learned from it) of going on the worldly show "Larry King Live".
He made Christian history on his blunder with salvation.
Secondly, he blundered again with the hurricane when he did not open up the church.

You see, this is how things work, when a big time pastor makes a mistake, the world jumps all over him.
When he corrects those mistakes and goes on to do wonderful things, the world ignores him.
You, without a doubt, only know a worldly view of him and that's how you judge him.

Shame on you, God's children are not called to do this.
Maybe someday you'll cry out to God for help and he'll tell you to tune into Lakewood church.

Please read the article I shared and search for other articles as well before you judge me. I'm sorry that you are offended, but God calls us to speak the truth. So are you saying that we should listen to ALL teachers who call themselves Christian and not heed the gospel which tells us to beware of false teachers?



When I cry out to God for help--He is there to help me. I have full assurance He would never guide me to a false teacher such as Joel Osteen. I pray that any believer reading this will have the courage to tell you the truth. It is baffling to me how you could listen to Swindoll and not see the vast difference between the two. Swindoll preaches from the word of God, while Joel Osteen does not.

"But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”--John 10:5

In this short video he says he believes Mormons are Christians.

Peter was not written to the Body of Christ. Only Paul's epistles are written to saved members of the body of Christ.
They were Kingdom Gospel Saints. Anything outside of Paul's writings are not for saved believers today.

So the world is full of naysayers and you are one of them.
You listen to all these people but you don't attend not even one of his services so you could find out the truth yourself.
All I can say is, "please God, bless this one.
She means well".

I have watched his services--he preaches the health and wealth prosperity gospel--he does not preach THE gospel.

Osteen is estimated to have a net worth of over $50 million, with his church taking in $43 million a year in collections.

"Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God."--2 Corinthians 2:17

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!"--Galatians 1:8


Here Victoria Osteen saying, "When we obey God, we're not doing it for Him, we're doing it for ourselves."..."And that is what makes God happy, when we're happy." --- Blasphemy!

Psalm 37:4; Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 97:12; May all who are godly be happy in the Lord and praise his name.

I actually found 34 verses I could use.
But here's what you did.
You found one thing Victoria Osteen said and put a negative slant to it.
That's being hateful, never mind misunderstanding.
One can sit down and look at google and you tube all day long and find negative things said about everyone that is famous.
What does that prove.
You put this you tube up on Victoria Osteen and you think that justifies anything?
What goes on in your mind?
Are you going to sleep tonight hating her?
Are you going to sleep tonight hating me?
Just what really goes on inside your head.

Go ahead, humor me, say one nice thing about her.
She's pretty for a woman in her 50's.
She has a nice smile.
She truly seems happy.
Go ahead, say anything nice, I want to hear it come from you.
Show me what a nice person you are.

"Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart."

Hate? How is it 'hate' to point out false teachers? That makes no sense. Would you say it was hate to tell someone their husband was a pedophile or their son was buying drugs and might just get himself shot going to the wrong neighborhood--or turning in a criminal who robbed a store?

And where is the slant? It is her VERY WORDS--no slant necessary! And please tell me where in scripture its say to say something nice about an enemy of the cross of Christ?

I am simply showing you with HER OWN words what those two are about and it is CERTAINLY NOT THE GOSPEL.

We know from Rev. 22:19 that a believers name can be removed from the Book of Life.

How can their name be removed from the Book of Life if it's not already in the Book of Life?

We can use all the scripture we want to say man cannot lose his salvation, but we plainly see that it is possible!

As long as you make sure you don't feed him after midnight...no, wait, that was Gizmo. Ok, nvm.

If that person is not saved, how did their name get in the Book of Life?

Why did Jesus this in Rev. 3:5?

"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

There are some that "did run well" as Paul said! But in the end they "fell from grace" as Paul also said!

No one is going to lose salvation if they continue to believe!

I'm sure that all of us here will believe until the end, so there is no problem here to argue!

Please explain to me why an unsaved person's name would be written in the book of life?

I'll put it another way. You have 100 soldiers wounded and taken to the hospital--they have a role sheet of patients--12 die--there names are taken OFF that sheet. God is God. He is not going to put anyone's name in the book of life unless they are one of the righteous, but then like Judas fall away--yes their name WILL be BLOTTED OUT. Let the scripture say what it says--you are simply twisting it to fit your false doctrine of OSAS.

That’s not really a counter point, but more of an opinion. I don’t mind having a conversation about such doctrine, but when it comes back to ad hominems, the discussion become futile.

Maybe we should say Saved By Grace Of God.
