How do you comfort somebody? With sweet (but liar) words, or speaking the truth which can deliver from the ordeal or predicament?

If it is the first hypothesis, read the excerpt below e fear the Creator:

• Ezekiel 13:4-8 -> “Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel. You have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the LORD. They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the LORD,’ when the LORD has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word. Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, whenever you have said, ‘Declares the LORD,’ although I have not spoken?” Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Because you have uttered falsehood and seen lying visions, therefore behold, I am against you, declares the Lord GOD.”.

The order is staying close to the Creator enjoying His fellowship (Psa 37:4) and hearing His voice (Deut 28:1,2):

• Jer 23:18 -> “For who among them has stood in the council of the LORD to see and to hear his word, or who has paid attention to his word and listened?”.
• Jer 23:21,22 -> “I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds.”.
• Jer 23:29-32 -> “Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, declares the LORD, who steal my words from one another. Behold, I am against the prophets, declares the LORD, who use their tongues and declare, ‘declares the LORD.’ Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, declares the LORD, and who tell them and lead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when I did not send them or charge them. So they do not profit this people at all, declares the LORD.”.

We need to receive the Bread of Life so that people can strengthen their heart:

• Psa 104:14,15 -> “You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth and wine to gladden the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread to strengthen man's heart.”.

It isn’t in vain that the king who is savvy loves lips which speaks the truth:

• Pro 16:13 -> “Righteous lips are the delight of a king, and he loves him who speaks what is right.”.

Furthermore, if we yearn for being visited by the Creator (2Chr 16:9), rule His house, have charge of His courts and get the right of access among His Church (Zech 3:7), we need to walk in His way and keep His Truth.

So, have a good day living the truth, even if, at the first moment, this won’t make elated the person (Heb 12:11); in the end, you will find more favor than he who flatters with his tongue (Prov 28:23).

1Thess 4:18 . . Encourage each other with these words.

Below are the words to which Paul referred.

"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or
to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died
and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who
have fallen asleep in him. According to The Lord's own word, we tell you that
we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of The Lord, will certainly
not precede those who have fallen asleep.

. . . For The Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud
command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are
left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet The Lord in
the air. And so we will be with The Lord forever." (1Thess 4:13-17)

In other words: when non Christians and such lose a non Christian loved
one, the loss is assumed permanent; but when Christians lose a Christian
loved one, the loss is presumed temporary.
