God tried to kill Moses?

yeah that’s considered the limit actually 120 years according to Gods word

“And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

a mans life on earth is limited and yes being 120 years old means Moses was at the limit of age he was full
Of years and died

sin is the source of death it’s always the cause of mans death. There’s no detailed account saying “ Moses was hot with a rock and died , or the angel choked him lol it just plainly says Moses died there and gave the reason by Gods word because he broke it like sinners all do and die

I assume since he was 120 years old it was simply Moses dying of natural causes but if your wanting scripture to detail the physical nature of his death to it doesn’t give a cause of death like courts do or anything. It just says Moses died and tells us why it was before he entered the promised land

old age is just an assumption because mans limit was 120 years after they sinned and became sinners

Maybe the 120 age limit means ones you reached it God just takes your breath away, and then you go to sleep and dont wake up.

In Genesis God revealed Himself as a Covenant- making God, ( Contract) You do your part be faithful He does His He's faithful. With Abraham God made a covenant and to his decendants after Him that was His people were to be circumcised, Genesis makes it clear that Moses son had not been circumcised . Had Moses caved in the His wifes opposition to the circumcision ? Not clear. What is clear is the Lord took it very personally . As did His wife when she was forced to circumcise the child . She was from Midian and they didn't do that to their babies. Striking the rock is later in Genesis, Moses paid for that one by not entering the promised land but only seeing it from a mountaintop.

In the first instance of The Lord making water come out of a Rock . The Lord said, "Strike the rock". In the second instance later , The Lord very specifically said "Speak to the rock".

Moses died of natural causes and was buried by The Lord Himself in the land of Moab. Deutronomy 34

I dont think he died of 'natural causes'

verse 7 says '...his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated'

if his natural force was not abated then what reason do we have to say Moses died of 'natural' causes?

God specifically told Moses to go up to Mount Nebo, look out over the land of canaan and die. So how did he die? see deuteronomy 32:49-50

seems to me that Aaron died of exposure (he was stripped naked) or got altitude sickness on the top of the mountain.

Maybe its AMS - acute mountain sickness

There must be a death zone up in the mountains where you cant breathe.

He had that appointment we all must keep , maybe it was a heart attack Maybe it was a stroke from the climb ? I tend to believe up until the moment of his death he only believed that he was going up there to die. He spoke with God face to face as a man speaks with His friend . Safe to say. I think people shouldnt be dogmatic and claim that Moses died of 'natural causes' then when the Bible tells us God was the one who told Moses to die and where.

Jesus was also told by God that he was going to die and where, and also by what method.

The good thing is, Jesus was resurrected. The interesting thing about Moses was his body was never found and nobody knows where it is, though the last thing Moses laid eyes on was the promised land, he was not allowed to set foot there. It would be like having a million dollar sea/panoramic view from your house on the hill but not actually be able to live by the sea.

I take it you've not ever climbed a mountain? I dont know how high mount Nebo is, obviously not as high as the highest mountain on earth mt Everest, but it was special to God.

when edmund Hillary climbed mt Everest in 1953 he was like a national hero to nzers. He didnt do it alone though he was with a Nepalese sherpa Tenzing Norgay. But the Brits tried to say well 'we conquered mt everest' when actually probably many Nepalese had climbed it before but never got the fame.

The Nepalese still live in the Himalayas just because the British say they conquered it doesnt mean the Brits are allowed that land, or have any rights to it....

The last we hear of Moses The Lord is showing him Caanan Land from the top of a mountain Like you mentioned he still had his strength and his eye was not dim. Next the Bible says , he was buried in a valley in the Land of Moab. And the people mourned for him on the plains of Moab. So he kept his time to die. Not a day before or a day late. Ontime. In good health til he died. Not dogmatic. Just not worthy of much thought since God has chosen to fill in the gaps later as to how exactly Moses died . It's a mystery.

They are probably like that with anyone who dies. Dont care. Not interested to find out the significance of someines final moments on earth.

It is meant to convert the soul , that men might seek Him Jesus and find Him and walk with HIM in newness of life. To listen to Him speak to their hearts through His Word. How to approach Him , Not without Blood. 10-4 ? It is not meant to be a brain exercise, it is meant to renew your minds to absorb spiritual content. The Book with being led by the Spirit sir is a dead book . The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. God is upholding all things , guiding , sustaining , propelling all things by the Word of His Power. Take care How you handle it sir. He spanks hard.

well if you are getting on in years then yes YOUR time is short.

Those whom are younger though, have a bit more time so dont begrudge them that time to figure out stuff. We have 120 years apparently.
