John was not written to you or I. The audience at that time was Israel.

Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
They were to accept their Messiah. But as you read on further into Paul's writings, Israel rejected Christ and so because of their unbelief, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

Rom 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Now that things have changed you need to believe in Paul's gospel to be saved; 1 Corinthians 15: 3,4.
The gospel is the same in the book of John and in the letters of Paul.

“For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.””
‭‭John‬ ‭6:40‬ ‭ESV‬‬

https://www.bible.com/bible/59/jhn.6.40.esv

“But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:21-26‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In 1 John 5:11-12, he sums up the message of salvation in Christ. "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ... You can know, without any doubt, that you have eternal life.

It is the hope of every believer of having made peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ in what He has done for us on the cross.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself.

2Co_5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Many people are under a teaching that tells them when they die they will go to heaven. When I read the scriptures I don't see that anywhere.

First of all you need to be aware of men who might not be teaching exactly what the scriptures say. I know this from experience as I was tossed to and fro for years, listening to men interpret the scriptures.
I was deceived because I never checked what they were saying for myself.

Here is my destination as a believer in the gospel given to Paul by Christ Jesus

2Co_5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

The word heavens is plural, not singular; heaven.

Anyone who has trusted in Christ alone for their salvation, that He died for our sins, was buried and rose again according to the scriptures. Our destination is in the heavens.
Actually, is not our final destination the new earth?

Peace to everyone!

God our Father has made a way for each of us to come to Him... through Jesus Christ the ONLY Savior, ONLY Lord, ONLY King.

All the writings of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms testify of the Gift of Salvation in Jesus Christ...the Seed of the woman that crushes the head of the serpent. Our loving Heavenly Father sent His Word wrapped it in human flesh and filled it with His Spirit to reconcile us back to Him - He paid the ransom for our souls with His own Human Blood and Human Body.

While on the Earth, Jesus Christ fulfilled ALL of the Law of Moses that God required of the human race and because Jesus Christ died without sin, His Blood shed for us takes away ALL our sin.....

Basically, The Blood of Jesus Christ takes away our sin of NOT humanly fulfilling The Law and The Body of Jesus Christ is the human fulfillment of the Law which is the Righteousness of God for us.

It takes BOTH the Blood and the Body of Jesus Christ to save us.

The Works of Jesus Christ are the Works necessary for our Salvation, any good works we do are for witnessing of Jesus Christ to non-believers and promoting the Kingdom of God on the Earth. Our good works are well pleasing to God and only earn us rewards in Heaven, they do NOT earn us Salvation.

I am 96 years old and doctors tells me that something is wrong they can't fix so they give me no more than six months to be in this world. I don't think there is a chance that scripture isn't absolute truth about what will happen the day I leave here.

God created me and this earth. Some men say they know better, but no man has come at all close to what God created. Man can repair a body, but if the spirit leaves that repaired body does not live. Something in it had to go somewhere.

God is love, for only love could produce humans, oceans, canyons, trees, and such incredible beauty of the world.

This incredible God gave specific instructions about keeping the spirit alive eternally. God tells me it only takes faith in those instructions and I will live, and the entire world I see confirms it.
Dear Heavenly Father,

May Your Grace and Your Peace saturate and encapsulate @Blik , in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!

All her sins are forgiven and washed away in the Blood of Jesus Christ and she receives the Body of Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of the Law which is the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, amen.

Blik, you are loved and the Lord will meet you in Paradise and walk with you to the New Jerusalem and with His Blood, you will enter the Temple, go into the Holy Place and be feed The Bread - Word, and be given the understanding of the Light of the Candlestick and pass to to the Altar of Incense and offer your prayers to God as a saint...then, pass into The Holy of Holies which is the Throne Room of God Almighty… there, you will wait with Christ and Others for the Father to decree for Christ to, “Go! Get Your Bride!”

Upon white horses with flaming swords you will return to Earth with Christ to rule and reign 1,000 years…

All is well with you Blik! You are loved! Your future will be AMAZING!! The new body God has in store for you will surpass anything you can imagine because God loves to surprise us!

Godspeed, Blik! We love you, sister! We will see you on the other side! You are loved!

To know the complete story of what we are to do to receive the gift of salvation we need to read all the instructions given us, we must not ignore some parts of the word. We are told it requires faith in Christ and faith in the words of Christ. We have the four gospels that give us those words.

When Christ says to do "this" we are not to say I don't want to do as Christ says, we are to repent of our inability to perfectly but we are to truly want to do what Christ tells us to do to receive the gift of salvation. We are to repent.

The rules we are given of what sin is, the law, tells us what we need to repent of. Some say the law is dead and won't save, we are under grace not law and that means we are not to know what we are to repent of. The truth is that we are to repent of our sins and ask forgiveness. We are only saved through faith in Christ.

I'm so glad Jesus Christ humanly fulfilled ALL the Law God required from us for Salvation. There is no fear of losing our Salvation.

The good works we do now are because we love Jesus and have joy in obeying Him. For instance, we are commanded to love one another and forgive each other... there is great joy for us, others and God if we love and forgive one another. There will also be rewards for us in Heaven if we do this and it testifies of the love and forgiveness of God.

To the True Believer, it's an absolute joy to obey the Word of God by so doing we humble ourselves under God, take refuge under His wings, deny our flesh and take up our cross and follow Jesus Christ...the Holy Spirit empowers us to understand and obey God's Word - there is NO condemnation.(y)

Christ said if you love me you will obey me. There is no condemnation when we are forgiven, our sins are wiped out and forgotten. There is condemnation when we will to keep our sins and not give them to Christ, when we do not repent.

There is condemnation when we keep our sins and not give them to Christ, when we do not repent.
We NEVER lose our Salvation, that is secure IN CHRIST. Our works will be judged and condemned or rewarded.

Good works being obedience to God's Word and His Ways - walking by the Spirit.

Bad works being disobedience to God's Word and His Ways - walking in the flesh.

Works have absolutely nothing at all to do with salvation, but when we are saved Christ works in us and we are not to let our flesh stop that work.

Actually, is not our final destination the new earth?
John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God's Son is Jesus. He shed His blood as full payment for our sinfulness. There is no other way to Salvation but by His Blood. He loves you. Ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour today. He is waiting for your response.
I don't need to ask . How can you believe in a man made gospel. Obviously you don't take heed to what the scriptures says regarding the gospel. You have been warned,

Yes, I’m certain of going to heaven when I die. . .
Because Jesus made it certain by dying for me on the Cross. View attachment 234133
Christ died FOR OUR SINS; You hear The DBR gospel a lot. Death Burial and Resurrection. They purposely leave out Christ died for our sins. They preach another gospel.

How is asking Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour going to save you. You need to obey the gospel to be saved according to the scriptures.

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
all the gospel commands us to do is to believe it. "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."

It’s not good to quote scripture without God’s Love….

Imagine you are God..creator of EVERYTHING yet what you desire and want the MOST…..CANNOT be created…GOD IS LOVE…the greatest desire of LOVE is…. to love and to be loved.

This is God’s great dilemma… He can create beings and even worlds that will love Him BUT, if God does not give them freedom to choose to love Him then, they are robots and God is NOT TRULY LOVED.

The ONLY reason any of us get to have free will and make a choice and make a decision is because God wants our love and wants us to receive His Love for us and forever be in a loving family relationship with our Creator.

Isn’t God wonderful and amazing?! I give Him ALL my love, I choose to love Him completely and for all eternity…I hope you will do the same.(y)

By the Blood that Jesus shed on the Cross for me. Nothing but the Blood.

I do believe it takes BOTH - The Blood AND the Body of Jesus Christ.

The Blood of Jesus Christ takes away our sin; and

The Body of Jesus Christ is our Robe of Righteousness- the Human Fulfillment of The Law.
