Jesus Says, "As For The Mystery" So Where Is The Mystery? (Read Revelation 1:20)

Therefore Jesus, At The End Of The Verse Says: "The Seven Lampstands Are The Seven Churches"

By the time we read to the end of Chapter One, there has been eleven Sevens. And continuing to read at chapter two, and by the time we read through chapter five, there are eleven more sevens; for a total of twenty-two, that are all relating to the Seven Lampstands Being The Seven Churches. And there is no greater mystery for us to know! ​

I don't mean to be rude, but what is vastly more important than anything in Revelation is understanding the Gospel . . . [first]. We can read the entire Bible but if we do not understand the Purpose of Christ, the Work of Christ, and the Effect of Christ . . . none of it matters in the least. We can quote scripture all day long, but if we do not understand those three elements of Christ, there is no hope.

My recommendation, based upon the THREE elements of Christ noted above, is to read the SEVEN verses below . . . and memorize them as if they were the new John 3:16.

Colossians 2:9-15 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

Why "pastors" do not teach these seven verses is the single most disgusting thing regarding our modern-day "church" system. It is because our "pastors" refuse to teach Spiritual Circumcision that renders today's "church" as apostate. Simply ignoring the Heart of the Gospel is no excuse. For, this ignoring renders their "gospel" as a false gospel.

Galatians 1:8-9 NIV - "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God's curse!"

There are lots of sevens is this book, it is God's number and represents perfection and completeness.

The "seven stars" in His right hand are the symbol for the angels (pastors) of the seven churches.

The "seven golden candlesticks" represent light, the church is to be the light of this dark world.

This is where dispensationalism is born. The seven churches here representing the entire church age from beginning to end.

1Co 11:1 Paul Said: "Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ."

Getting it right meant that Jesus, Paul, and many others would be called to take things up to the front lines; guaranteeing they would be sometimes misunderstood, persecuted, and even killed.

2Co 10:4 The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.7 You are looking at things as they are outwardly. Every time you see “7” it is the Word and Spirit working together to accomplish the Father’s Will.

7 = the Work of the Holy Spirit completing and finishing what the Word of God sent It to do….God’s Word does not return void, It accomplishes what It was sent to do.

The Word of God never works alone, It is always accompanied with the Holy Spirit.

The Word is God’s Authority; and
The Holy Spirit is God’s Power.

Yes

Idk why so many people jump straight to Revelation and probably never even read all th way through leviticus for example.
It's the last book in the Bible, which means there are 65 books before it. Why does anyone think they will understand Revelation without a firm grasp on everything that precedes it?

If a new believer should read any book all the way through over and over it would probably be Romans - it lays out the gospel in detail. And to understand Romans we have to go all over the OT putting together Paul's arguments - so Romans isn't alone either; we need the whole of scripture!

Goosebumps . . . seriously. But you know what? I can't honestly say that it is our individual fault for lacking this core Wisdom. Who, therefore, is Truly at fault? Would it not be our "pastors" and "teachers"? Or, is it fair to say that our pastors and teachers and the modern-day equivalent of the Pharisees, Sadducees, and teachers of the law? These people [think] and believe they hold the truth, but they are blind.

John 9:39-41 NLT - "Then Jesus told him, "I entered this world to render judgment--to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind." 40 Some Pharisees who were standing nearby heard him and asked, "Are you saying we're blind?" 41 "If you were blind, you wouldn't be guilty," Jesus replied. "But you remain guilty because you claim you can see."

So, why? Why are our "leaders" not ramming precisely what you have written about . . . down our proverbial throats? If anything lights my fire, it is this! I am not so much bothered by individuals being ignorant of our incredible Bible (the Gospel of Christ) as much as I am angered by the reasoning for which pastors refuse, outright refuse to teach the utter Truth (which is not difficult to recognize if they would require that we read, know, and understand our Holy Word).

Hal Lindsey clearly points that out... Daniel is the key to Revelation.

Revelation 1
1This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw. This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and obey what is written in it, because the time is near.

Revelation is Christ's detailed promise to return. That's why I read it.

I have no use for anyone who dismisses Hal Lindsey out of hand and with so much obvious hatred... I have listened to Hal for many years, and never once has he set a date or named the antichrist. I will not listen to any hateful liar intent upon discrediting God's faithful servant.

Good for you! One way of knowing what "spirit" is within a person is this . . . will they listen? True Christians will ALWAYS listen, but when it comes to hate-filled minds, there is no reason to do such. It is a total waste of time to listen to anyone who is filled with such utter rudeness . . . including those who enjoy employing belittling, ridicule, and scorn. This is an area in my life that causes great concern, thus, when I find myself belittling another, it bothers me terribly and I have to walk away (from places like this).

The last church I attended (for 7 months) . . . well, I could not recall one mention of the name Jesus from the pulpit. He did, however, teach us how to make papyrus paper, preached on gun-safety numerous times, and perhaps the single most consistent topic he taught was about his favorite burger joint in town. It was the single most pathetic "church" experience I've ever had. When are the people going to wake up and stop supporting this false-teacher-laden "church" system!? Ironically, when I left that church, the "pastor" was rambling on and on and on about senseless materials from guess which book . . . Revelation. He never taught the Gospel of Christ, but he was teaching utter nonsense on the book of Revelation.

Is it just a coincidence that the temple and tabernacle had a golden lampstand with 7 lamps?

Was it the church lighting up the 12 pieces of showbread in the temple?

I wish to add to your point -

In the Old Testament economy - The seven points of light, upon the single lampstand, demonstrated the Glory and Illumination of God, to the Israelites, in it's completeness. They were God's chosen people and the Lord was with them. This spiritual light, was provided for them in the midst of the meeting place (Tabernacle). The only place where God had placed His Name, until the building of the Temple.

In the New Testament economy - God temporarily placed Israel in a state of blindness and the seven points of spiritual illumination (completeness), were removed from them and were broken down into seven individual lampstands (completeness), of the Assembly age. While no one single assembly represents the "complete" revelation, as it did in the Tabernacle/Temple, the seven individual assemblies do. Each one being given spiritual light as God sees fit.

It would be erroneous therefore, to say that each one of the assemblies, seen in Rev. 1-3, are the assembly condition in various ages. This view destroys the completeness of the seven lampstands. All seven of the lampstands are present at any given time in history. They are not piece-milled off, one by one throughout history. The modern day assembly can only have one but all seven are in the world. This is not to say there can only be seven true lampstands (assemblies) but that the "completeness" of the lampstands are in the world, thus the completeness of Christ's Revelation are being proclaimed in the world.

The lampstands themselves, represent the life giving presents of Christ, in the assemblies. Christ threatened to remove the lampstand from Ephesus (Rev.2:5). If the lampstand is removed, from an assembly, this not only means that this assembly is no longer a spiritual light to others but also means, the halls of that assembly have been darkened. The Lord is no longer in that assembly - it's spiritual life is dead. Many so-called churches, today, suffer from this condition.

When you consider the different ages-- the age of Law, and the age of the Church, the spotlight on what it means will vary.

Personally I believe it was designed from the beginning to represent the power of God through His people whether under Law or Grace, temple or church.
