Are you feeling loved by Christ or forsook by Him?

• Amos 5:1,2 -> “Hear this word that I take up over you in lamentation, O house of Israel: “Fallen, no more to rise, is the virgin Israel; forsaken on her land, with none to raise her up.”.

We need to know Jesus better personally in order not to be tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes (Eph 4:14).

Many times, when people start their walking toward Christ, they act like a passioned bride: they yearn for converting all the world to Christ. Nonetheless, they didn’t know Him good enough to transmit the true Jesus to people. They don’t know His “name” (that is to say, His identity).

This can bring many frustration and despair when they undergo some tribulation. Their proclivity is to think that Jesus forsook them and that He is far away. At this time, they commence to seek help of the religion leaders, many of which, regretfully, aren’t prepared to help us. On the contrary: many of these leaders take advantage of this opportunity to make business of us (Gal 4:17; 2Pe 2:1-3).

This brings revolt and hardening of their hearts. We can read about this:

• Mat 23:15 -> “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.”.

When we go to preach the gospel, we need to take the examples shown in the Holy Scripture. For instance:

• Act 2:36,37 -> ““Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.” Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?””.

Observe that the center of the preaching was how bad they were and how much Christ suffered for the sake of them (for their guilt and in favor of their salvation).

People need to be sure that they ought to repent, convert and follow Jesus.

Don’t misunderstand me! It’s necessary that our love for Jesus can be intense and it is marvelous that we share our faith with everybody around us with all happiness. Nonetheless, it’s imperative increase our search for Jesus more and more in prayer and meditation on the Holy Scripture in order not to:

• get dishearten when the outcomes are different from those which Jesus determined (Isaiah 55:10,11);
• induce people to create fantasies about Jesus. He is good, merciful and kind, but He is also righteous, pure, holy, just and don’t condone with the sin.

So, have a good day seeking Jesus, not only in the streets and squares, but in your heart (Mat 6:6), always increasing in ken and intimacy with Him so that you can face the difficulties with wisdom and perseverance and help others in the right path, following the true Jesus.
