IF you obey and repent, THEN there will be mercy. IF you rebel and sin, THEN there will be judgment. I think this is why the Bible doesn't put specific dates on eschatological events. Because the timing is flexible, based on human choice and consequences. THAT prophecy will be fulfilled is certain and sure. WHEN it will be fulfilled is unknown.

God extended Hezekiah's life. God spared Nineveh.

Will God give US more time... IF we stand against evil and turn back to Him?

NO MAN can say it's not a possibility.

Good point and I didn't mean to say we don't do anything. As far as the world and even this country goes, their fate is set in stone and no we can't do anything at this point for them. But as far as individual people around us go, it is all the more imperative that we step out and fight for them. Among both the saved and unsaved.

Somewhere I read that states and local governments are purchasing military grade weapons and already have accumulated quite a bit. Why would they need that? hhm? :unsure:

But that's kind of my point. I've heard a lot of SPECULATION concerning the timing of eschatological events, but no one has ever PROVEN to me Biblically that their specific pet date for X event is correct.

I am seeing right now that many Christians believe the end of the world is imminent. I have a different view (which I can Biblically support) and believe that there could be centuries left to go before the Tribulation.

Since we don't know, we cannot give up.

10's of millions would be the opposing challenge...I would think.

Folks I know having guns speak of ammunition in the...brick...term. I did not know what that meant until recently.

Things like this are but attempts to use worldly resources to fight a spiritual battle. That's a losing proposition, no matter how much you arm it.

Because a true Christian cannot give you a date!!! Prove...where did you get that non applicable term from referencing the Bible?
Read scriptures....only The Father in Heaven knows the day and hour.
What I see Christians saying is that ....prophecies are full filled, the decrease of moral standards and civil decay speaks volumes to those watching.

I doubt God is against advocating for righteousness by being against abortions, drugs, lower moral standards, homosexuality, same sex togetherness ( no...not marriage...that is only between a man and a woman) removing God and the Bible from our midst, etc.

I think people take Jesus' words terribly out of context:

Joh_18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

They read into this that Christians should be passive in ALL situations. Except God commanded the Hebrews to fight at times. The Bible says there is a time for war. The Bible says there is a time to kill. Jesus is clearly saying that you don't expand the Kingdom of God with violence. But this doesn't mean that there is NEVER a time to fight or a just cause to fight for.

Turn it around...they make opposition smart!!!

Study history of the civil war.....few citizens had guns....when it started.
It was a army vs army war. Not now it is right against radical left...with the right having 700 million arms.

I would like to see what you have that indicates we're not that close.

Frankly, I think that heart attack, that car crash, that your-ticket-is-punched moment is your rapture. And thus like the arrogant farmer, it could be tonight for any one of us.

Like you say, we just don't know the time. But we will know the season. And I'm just one crazy guy on the interenet but to me it looks like the leaves are falling

Which is why we must now focus on people and not politics

But remember, every generation since Paul's thought theirs was it. Kinda goes back to what I said above ... they weren't wrong
